Nos encantó el escenario. Tienen la mejor ventaja natural que puede haber, un espacio para desconectarse del trabajo y encontrar la armonía con la naturaleza. Excelente servicio del personal del Hotel, sin duda se programa el regreso. Gracias a todos los miembros del staff del hotel, excelente servicio.

El hotel, aunque en una zona aislada, es la mejor opcion en la isla para desconectar y disfrutar del mar y las estrellas en un ambiente relajado y de solo adultos. No es nuestra primera vez en este hotel y a pesar que el mar estaba en mal estado, disfrutamos mucho. Han cambiado y ahora el desayuno y la cena son a la carta aunque la cena hay que reservar con antelacion, tienen mucha opcion de alimentos pero el coste en relacion a la porcion es un pelin alto.

Ventanas al Mar is on the other side of the island, and although it may seem like you are missing out by not being downtown, it is actually the best thing you can do. Everyday we woke up to breathtaking sunrises, great service and homey vibe. It is close to all the beaches you want to go (Punta Sur, Surf School, etc) and far away from the cruise vibe. Truly enjoyed my time here.

La ubicación es hermosa, pero, el servicio es malo, el estado del hotel es viejo y sin mantenimiento, la localización es al otro lado de la isla, no hay forma de trasladarse, los taxis tardan 50 minutos en llegar

Delante del mar
Lugar idílico con magníficas vistas. Tuvimos que salir tras habernos hospedado sólo una noche debido a un cambio de planes en el viaje, nos hubiera gustado quedarnos más.

Excelente para parejas
Excelente trato, el lugar es increíble, la vista nocturna de las estrellas es mágica. El sonido y la vista del mar en las ventanas de la habitación es inigualable. El mobiliario un poco sencillo pero la cama muy cómoda. En general la decoración es rústica. La comida deliciosa.

Los amaneceres es lo más espectacular lo puedes ver desde el balcón de tu acotación. Me encanto la vista al mar ,cómo está pegadito al mar puedes escuchar las olas Del Mar desde tu habitación. La playa está hermosa privada es un lugar muy bonito. Agregar shuttle del muelle al hotel eso sería magnífico.

Estar en este hotel es como pasar unos días de relax en el paraíso... realmente es una experiencia maravillosa!!! Un hotel tranquilo pensado para desconectar y alejarte un poco del mundo. Para terminar la experiencia, el personal del hotel es muy amable y casi te dan un trato familiar. Sin duda vale la pena volver!!!!!!

Excelente ubicación. Instalaciones aceptables pero descuidadas. PÉSIMA ARQUITECTURA Y DECORACION DE BAÑOS. LAMENTABLE QUE COBREN TAN ALTO POR REGADERA, WC Y LAVABO QUE NO CUMPLEN EL MÍNIMO DEL REGLAMENTO DE CONSTRUCCION. Son inhabitables. Salimos por la noche a hoteles del poniente de la isla y al regresar al hotel la policia nos persiguió como viles delincuentes diciendo que estaba prohibido cruzar hacia el oriente de la isla después de las 7pm. Esto además de Anticonstitucional y abusivo es pésima recomendación para quien quiera hospedarse en ese sector pues no los dejarán regresar al hotel o tendrán que ser perseguidos como nosotros (qué no quisimos detenerno) hasta llegara a las instalaciones.

Maravilloso lugar
Lugar privilegiado, es como estar en una isla casi desierta, vimos peces, un tiburón , delfines, , luminiscencia, ayudamos a una tortuguita a llegar al mar, muchos colores del mar y miles de estrellas. Los dueños , muy buenos anfitriones.

This hotel is dreamy. If you love the ocean and the sound of waves and barefeet and sand... this is your hotel. Limited AC, lots of ocean breeze. No TV. Just sea and sky.

Absolutely loved it! Secluded, scenic, breathtaking sunrises, friendly staff, clean & good food. Beach is perfect. Clean sand and gorgeous water. Surf school is only 1km down the road.

This is definitely a “get away from it all” place. It’s also a lot like stepping back in time, because the area is very undeveloped and isolated. Air conditioning is only available at night, but there is a lot of wind and ocean and pool water to cool you off during the day. The sound of the waves crashing is constant, if you like that sort of din… I liked it. The panoramas are incredible no matter which direction you look.

It’s like stepping back in time 50 years. The views are beautiful. The area is completely undeveloped. There are no televisions. You hear the crashing of waves constantly and see the stars at night.

We loved the guest-house style and vibe of this hotel and the excellent hospitality of all the staff who were warm, welcoming, and helpful in all respects. The beach front was beautiful and clean. Everything about this place was lovely. For honky tonk, “Coconuts” is next door.

If you can, imagine this: you're in Mexico and you and your partner have the whole beach to yourself -- no kids, no crowds, no kidding! Just beautiful beach stretching as far as your eye can see; great ocean breezes, quiet (but for the crashing ocean waves), and hardly anyone else around. The hotel itself shows some signs of wear, and with no TV or fridge, staying here may take some getting used to; but, if it's solitude and peace & quiet you desire, this IS the place. Also, the staff is wonderful, the drinks are great, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. A perfect getaway to revel in the beauty of nature, and to recharge your inner peace!

Ventanas is quiet. The Staff is great ! There is not the craziness that you get at the all-inclusives. Not a 5 Star, but it does the job and we feel like we on on vacation and come home feeling refreshed

We love our stay at Ventanas because is located in a great place where we feel in peace, away from everything in addition to having a great access to the sea/ocean and the view was amazing. The night sky is another beautiful view to see. We would definitely stay again. The customer service was also amazing.

OVERALL: Small, adults-only, boutique hotel in an isolated area. If you want to escape the world with a book under a palapa, this is your place. If you want 5-star accommodations with activities and service to your room or palapa, this is not your place. LOCATION: Remote. At night you can see the stars. The beach is very soft so not possible to take a long walk, but a hike/bike trail along the coast. Avoid swimming or snorkeling due to large waves. A 10-minute walk is Chen Rio beach with a rock barrier so you can wade. Also, a beach restaurant. ROOM: Clean with tile and stucco. Dresser with drawers but no closet or place to hang clothes. Spring bed not comfortable if used to memory foam. AC from 9pm-8am but we preferred the breeze. Soap, shampoo and drinking water but no hair dryer, TV, or coffee machine. The toilet area shared the same floor as shower so was often wet. AMENITIES:  Lounge chairs around the pool and beach, with several palapas. Games and cards provided. No water activities or equipment. No standard room service or drink service to the beach. Internet was slow and sporadic. Cell phone hit and miss, best standing on upper floor walkway. FOOD: Hotel offers breakfast, lunch, dinner with many options. Prices reasonable. Most meals good, several spectacular, though two had undercooked vegetables, pasta. Coconuts bar is also next door. STAFF: They do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. Only negative is we were questioned about our tip during checkout.

My new favorite place!!
ABSOLUTELY love this place!!! If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet, away from everyone place to stay this is your place. All you hear every evening is the sound of the waves, the staff is very friendly & will assist with any requests you have, food is wonderful, rooms are cleaned daily, can walk to the restaurant/bar next door if you choose, have a stretch of beach all to yourself, pool, many chairs arranged around the property you can move, they give you beach towels, bring drinks & food to you on the beach or by the pool. The entire staff is amazing. We will be back every year. (No TV's in the room but you do get WiFi.) A great place to completely unwind and relax!! LOVED IT!!!

It's nice but it needs some improvements. The location of the property is beautiful. The views are fantastic. We loved hanging out on our porch, although there was a broken broad on it and it didn't feel totally secure. We stayed in the corner room (on the south side of the property). The king size bed was very comfortable and listening to the ocean waves crash all night was very relaxing. A couple complaints about the room was the ceiling had a place where it looked like it could fall off at any time, it didn't during our stay but when knows when it will go. And then the bed had sand in it already before we had ever got into it. So we aren't sure if the bed sheets were new or not. We enjoyed a nice dinner the first night. It was overpriced but still enjoyable, food was good but drinks were just okay. But breakfast the next morning was not enjoyable at all. Again overpriced and neither dish was filling or satisfying. The beach is a fun beach to walk on but it's hard to fully enjoy with all the garbage. I understand the trash is a never ending battle but there doesn't seem to be any effort to even try to clean up the area close the hotel.

I really enjoyed my five days here, very relaxing and the beds were so comfy! Everyone here is so nice and attentive to your needs. The food here is excellent! Try the banana pancakes in the morning, just delicious and beautifully served. The maids are so friendly and do such a great job on my room. Thanks for all you do!

Ventanas al Mar, especial room 1, is awesome. Good food and service, beautiful beach when there is no sargaso, a joy to spend a couple nights
