Perfect stay for our multi-generational family
My mother (80), son (4) and I - somewhere in between those numbers ;-) - stayed for a week. The beach, pool, property, and other amenities covered all of our needs. The folks at the resort are wonderful and it's just close enough to the town center to make the walk a nice little outing for us all to do everyday. The host's were extremely communicative and answered all questions we could have had before we even stepped foot on the property. We'll be back :)

Lovely location
The condo within Sunset Fisherman’s Village (small mature resort), is in a lovely location and on the beach. It is Easy biking to groceries, pharmacies, etc. The manager and her team are responsive and informative. The condo itself was ok, and we made do with the awkward set up for the kitchen. There is very little counter space in which to actually prepare meals, and freezer did not work ( they did bring us a glass ice bucket to retrieve ice). You can see the ocean from the window, but it is in bad need of serious cleaning. I will say the bed was very comfortable and once you got the shower figured out it was nice. I think it is suitable for 2 people 4 would be very tight. One suggestion would be to outline the resorts protocols re paying directly via credit card for meals vs charging to the room to avoid confusion. We ended up being double charged for meals ( both credit card and from our resort deposit) I am still working to resolve it.

Some appliance breakdowns but eventually resolved.
Normally I hate condos because of noise issues but I would return here as it is super quiet. Had to overcome many outages such as ceiling fan problems, microwave failure, LAN outage, washer and dryer breakdowns. but these were resolved fairly promptly. The weakest link is the kitchenette which barely functions. Here is my fix: 1. Ditch the sofa/bed/ mirror/ accent pillows and huge comforter. Replace bed pillows as they smell. 2. Move wardrobe to sofa space. 3. Install full size freezer/refridge in wardrobe space and build counter for appliances, water bottle, and shelves for dry goods storage 4. You now have room around the sink for food prep and washing up. I have NO complaints about the resort or staff, it was a pleasure to stay here, they are super accommodating and helpful. I have walked past the resort countless times , didn't know it was a little gem in the neighborhood.

Best Part of Mexico
My family has stayed here before and love it enough to keep coming back. The beach front locations, amenities, and ability to Rappi in food without ever having to leave make it our favorite spot in the Riviera.

Great spot!
We loved our stay! Staff was kind and amenities at Sunset Fishermen were just what we wanted. We enjoyed the walk into town and the room was spacious and quiet. Loved the fresh fruit and having a small kitchen available. The bed and pillows were a bit uncomfortable but we made do. Would stay again!

Nice lil condo at Pefect Quiet Resort!!
If you want beautiful Carribean Beach along with convenient swim up pool bar, this is it! We prefer small and mature setting when we go on vacation. Thank you all at Sunset Fisherman's Resort.

What a view
Loved staying here. Great pool right in the beach. Ate at the restaurant once, it was ok. Very close to downtown playa and all it has to offer.

Amazing location at Fishermans! Easy access to downtown playa and ferry to Cozumel. Easy beach access, great pool and swim up bar. Amazing stay!

Good location
The condo was perfect for the two of us. Just a short walk to town we’re everything is readily available. Short walk to peer to catch the ferry to Cozumel. The place is on the third floor so it has steps to walk when you get done for the day but nice location, not noisy and well kept. AC has a weird noice from time to time but when your tired it doesn’t make a difference. There is a hold of about 400 US dollars for incidentals at check in but that wasn’t bad either and they are refundable if you don’t put any charges to the room. All in all a great experience and would come back to the Sunset Fishermen for future vacations.

Don’t go with a (service) dog
The site is stunning, beautiful and very quite but close to the “movida” . Our room in the building was comfortable and with a nice view, but it needs a good makeup: the sofa is literally loosing pieces , during a storm water entered from the ceiling. The beach and the sea are wonderful, but nobody cleaned the beach in front of the hotel and it was full of plastic , the same pieces I saw every day until I threw them away . For the dog there is absolutely NO CULTURE . The property manager Sergio is a very special person , but also Doug and Krystal were very nice and present (except for the dog matter)

Fishermen's
Please improve the wifi. It is really poor. Need better pillows and towels for the rooms. Otherwise it is a wonderful stay at Fishermen's. The staff is superb, the beach was great.

Very nice property
Nice beachfront property. Really nice neighborhood. Clean. Nice hotel room. There’s confusion on which unit you get. Ours wasn’t with a kitchen and porch although the link showed that. A bit hard to get luggage up and down from three floors.

It does have a small kitchentte with sink,mini frig, 2 burner countertop and essentials to prepare meals in the suite. Typically the resort has concierges available to assist in bringing luggage to the room. Sorry you had to carry your luggage. We appreciate you choosing us for your stay. Great amenities at fisherman and going downtown every night was always a treat.
Very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Only complaint was the quality of the pullout bed. Pullouts in the regular timeshares are much more comfortable and very acceptable. The one in 333w was neither. Other than that a 👍 experience.

Great deal!
Great studio located in a resort with available amenities. Only complaint would be 2 flights of stairs to 3rd floor. Beach view from window but missed balcony or patio. Nothing nearby except residential so taxi was necessary all the time.

Great relaxing experience
Very neat experience, quite relaxing with no stress and very nice service. The beach had a lot of algae, making very hard to get into the beach, but I everything was natural and very clean, I can see we were just not very lucky with mother nature!

Nice spot on the beach
The main feature is being on the beach and the view from the room. There is no balcony and you are on a resort . It is quiet which we appreciate. You have to walk to town which can be daunting in the heat but taxis are 90 pesos(the email said 70 but that is incorrect)-about $5-6 us to the edge of town, more if you go further in. It was nice to have coffee available for the first morning until we could shop. The kitchen is well equipped but the coffee maker does not work well-pot doesn't fit the machine, water comes out before you start it. For the aggravation and the price of the room spending $20 on a coffeemaker would be reasonable Price-expensive but we paid it for the location but getting at our upper limit so not sure about a return visit if the cost continues to go up. 3rd floor so get used to stairs but nice view. Bed was comfortable. We had a lovely stay.

Great location.. 3/5 days without water for shower...
We stayed in the unit for 5 nights, first day, there was no water coming out of the shower. 2nd day, was good. 3rd.day, no water for shower again till 8pm.. On New Years Eve, there was no water at all till past 7pm... Apparently the resort had a major water maintenance issue, they called the guests to advise in advance but since we don't have phones in the unit, they forgot about us. It would have been a great experience if there was no water issue...

Great location, poor service
The location couldn't be better, you are really perfectly situated to enjoy the beach. The service is another thing though... our AC broke and the front desk was slow and unresponsive, they didn't get it fixed until we called the owner and then they called to have it fixed. We spent two days talking to them and they had all sorts of excuses about why it wasn't working and how somehow it was our fault. Super annoying to have to go down to the front desk every two hours because nothing was happening and there was no accountability from anyone. Same thing happened with the water pump. When we would go to the front desk they would tell us that either we were using it wrong or that they would send someone to fix it but nothing would happen. We got food poisoning twice from eating at the beach side restaurant. There was also a sense that since we weren't hotel guests but rather staying in the condos then the staff was unfriendly and unhappy to serve us. One night at dinner once they found out I was staying in the condo they asked me "well how do you plan to pay?" before they even agreed to give us a table... Wouldn't stay there again.

We are very very sorry you had bad experience at the front desk. We tell all our guests to contact us directly with any concerns or questions and we have our own staff for maintenance in our units. We communicate with Sergio who will always resolved matters in a timely manner.

Great beach, location, resort for the price
Very nice location, a nice stretch of beach is near your room. Quinta Ave. is a 15 min walk away (or a short jog on the beach). The room is pretty basic, but clean and comfortable. The food at the resort is okay, youre close enough to town that dinner out is easy. Sunday nights they seem to have a mariachi band playing, pretty fun. The pool is good, could be bigger. Overall, a very good price for the level of resort you get.

Great place, will be back!
My daughter (5) and I stayed there for 2 weeks in July, we really enjoyed this great small resort. I am not a big resort kind of person and this was perfect. Unit is well appointed, very clean, marble floors, cathedral ceiling, you can cook simple meals and store food in the bar fridge. Washer and dryer, so no need to bring tons of clothes, towels (bathroom and beach) are amply supplied. Bed is very comfortable. Owners were fast at responding to any inquiry and local support is done by lovely Mr. Sergio, who was able to sort out everything for me. Nice plate of fruit upon arrival, nice touch! Beach view is fantastic and you really do see it from the bed, and while eating at the table! I had to bring my laptop to work, and the wifi was decent, so I could work efficiently while enjoying this insane beach view. Would make this my permanent office! 1. It was nice to have a restaurant on premises, however the only breakfast option being a buffet, this wasn't for us. We mostly prepared our own breakfast and lunch in the condo, and ate a la carte dinner at the restaurant. Service was excellent, we had lovely Ms. Marlene every night and she was great. I really enjoyed eating there, my daughter could play on the beach after dinner, the location can't be beat, right on the beach, and food was great. 2. Resort staff was awesome and very respectful, Mr. Anselmo at the towels was great (most awesome towel folding technique I've ever seen!), and Mr. Andres at the bar was always smiling and made really good pinadas and maracuya drinks. Everybody else who worked there was great as well, even the maintenance staff who always nodded or said hi when we walked pass! 3. LOCATION is fantastic, quiet, no bar/noisy street around, most awesome, well groomed beach, clear water, the color of the water is to die for. Side neighbors are million $ private villas (which I buy first thing if I ever win the lottery!), front neighbor is a quaint Mayan ruin in a nice park! A cab ride to town is 90 pesos. If it had not been that humid, we would have walked along the gorgeous street lined with trees and private villas. 4. The pool is right on the beach, so you can enjoy the view while soaking in! 5. This is the perfect combination of convenience, calm and quiet, just right distance from town, beach location can't be beat! 6. I want to move there!!!

My husband and I were up for a quick get-a-way to escape the cold. We made arrangements to stay at this condo located at Fishermens Resort in Playa del Carmen and are we happy we did!! Where to start, the unit was immaculately clean, spacious, a kitchen and a view of the water. We arrived early and they stored our luggage while we made a leisurely trip to town ( about a 10 minute walk) had a wonderful lunch and then headed to Walmart where we picked up some breakfast/lunch items for the week. Each night we walked into towne for dinner at a different place ( there are soooo many choices) walking to town is lovely and town itself is just fun!! ( and safe- no cars!!) The beach is beautiful and one still has the use of the resort 's pools , spa, gym, hot-tubs. The resort has a full restuarant and one morning we ate there, excellent ! The ferry to Cozmel is a quick walk down the beach and both Cancun and Tulum are very close. I know we will be returning. This place is a gem!!

Nice, laid back resort
Our stay was very nice with great beach, staff, pools etc. Located away from the crowded downtown area yet only a 15 min walk to the action spots. Room was comfortable with nice view of beach and ocean. Only complaint would be the noisy a/c unit that kicks on several times an hour all day and night long. Otherwise, I would stay here again and recommend this unit to others.
