Good House, Not a Star

Pretty deep off the main road, long bike ride / walk to beachside. House is nice, but be prepared for no views beyond looking at the creek out back and the driveway.Nice inside, perfect for small group of adults. Owners are nice and communicative prior to stay.Didn't spend a ton of time in the house, but 4* rating is mainly due to non-prime location and nice but not fantastic interior. Fire alarm was beeping when we entered in need of battery replacement.This house is fairly priced for what it offers.

Comfortable, Well-Stocked, House, Walkable to Beach and Seaside

We had a very nice weeklong stay at On the Canal. The house and beds were comfy, it was very well-stocked, and clean. We enjoyed the porches, backyard, and the layout/separation between the floors. The walk to the beach and Seaside is easy, though a little long when pulling a toddler in a wagon. The neighborhood is quiet, nice, and shaded but when the the neighbors were out at their pool, it was hard to escape their noise. Overall, would recommend.

Another Great Stay!

This was our second year in a row staying at On the Canal, and we loved it again. The property looks just like the photos, and everything is clean. It's well-stocked with everything we need. We used the included Beach Rental to get bikes so we could ride over to Seaside every day. While the beach is a little bit of a walk, we feel it's worth it to stay at such a nice home. We'll be back!

Christmas Getaway!

We loved staying at this house for Christmas. We had a nice walk into town and to the beach. It was a short drive to Publix for groceries and to Point Washington State Forest for hiking. We had plenty of beds and sheets and towels and dishes to make it a comfortable stay. The check-in process was smooth with good communication. The house was cozy, clean, and well maintained. We had a great time playing at the beach and kayaking in the canal.

Wonderful location for our babymoon!

We enjoyed this quiet getaway tucked in the trees along the canal! Very clean, comfortable, and with a well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the screened-in balcony on the rainy days! Would definitely recommend.

Quiet paradise

Great Time On the Canal!

The property was very clean and accurate to the pictures online. We really enjoyed the screened in porch overlooking the canal, which had a beautiful view and was shaded. While the walk to the beach was a bit longer than we were expecting, the bikes provided through the rental were fantastic. We biked to Seaside every day, as well as on the nature trails in Watercolor. We were very happy with our stay and recommend the property, especially for families with teens, as ours loved the separate downstairs area. Thanks for a great stay!

Spring Vacay

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property. We traveled with our two teenage sons, which stayed in the lower level. It was absolutely perfect. It gave us all plenty of space. We appreciated all of the furnishings, including linens, beach, chairs, kitchen utensils, the comfortable beds and delivered bicycles. We will definitely stay here again if it is available next time we are in town. Thank you for providing everything one would need for a hassle-free vacation.

On The Canal

It was perfect for us! It was near our friends but super affordable! We stayed in the master bedroom, my mother stayed in the second upstairs room. My daughter and a few of her friends stayed downstairs and they loved it. We rode the canoe on the canal, biked to the beach, square, Grayton Beach, and biked to The Red Bar. We cooked breakfast every morning and grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, baked sliders for lunch. It was a wonderful, memorable trip!

Perfect location

My family of 6 had a wonderful time staying at this property for New Years . The house had everything that we needed and more. The best part about this property is the location - it was so peaceful and quite yet just a short walk to Seaside square. We cannot wait to return.

Loved this Place!

We really loved staying at this property. The canal view was so relaxing, as was spending time on the porches in the mornings and evenings. Us parents took the lower floor "apartment", and the kids each had their own rooms upstairs, so that was nice. We were even able to kayak a bit on the canal, despite the water lilies. We took advantage of the beach gear credit to get four bicycles, and some baskets, so were able to bike everywhere we needed to go. It was a short and shady jaunt, either on bikes or by foot, to the beach. The house was lovely, clean, well kept up, and comfortable. It was impressively well stocked, with everything you might need for the week, from laundry detergent, salt and pepper and other spices, olive oil, toilet paper, to baggies and foil, and more. As the Mom-who-does-all-the-vacation-planning-and-packing, I just can't get over how much was available in the house and the attention to detail. We really didn't need to bring anything other than our clothes and other personal stuff, and get some groceries for the week. My family just enjoyed staying there and all the beach stuff!

Excellent experience!!

Everything was perfect. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. House is in a GREAT location, walkable to downtown Seaside or a super easy bike ride. Close to the beach too. Super cute inside, comfortable, well appointed and lots of fun toys included. Definitely return here. Plus we just love canal street!

Love the area! We road bikes or walked to the beach. Kitchen well supplied which was nice as we cooked most meals. Enjoyed screen porch for morning coffee! Nice comfortable house!

Our stay was excellent. We loved the house and location. Downstairs was perfect for the boys to have their own space. House was well equipped and fully stocked with beach necessities and even with household items.
