The listing mentions this property is newly renovated. It is more of lipstick on a pig renovation though. There is potential in this property, but failed execution. For a "luxury property" it is far from luxurious. The entire house needs a deep clean. It was obvious that this house is not thoroughly cleaned after each guests stay, nor do they even attempt to deep clean every so often. The cabinets in the kitchen had food/drinks (I assume) stuck to them, any ledge- cabinets, windows, baseboards, etc had dust/dirt accumulated. Bathrooms, especially down stairs and off the 2nd bedroom upstairs, had grime accumulation. There was toothpaste from a previous guest stuck to the side of the sink in one bathroom and what looked like make up in another. Paint was chipping off all of the cabinets. Hand marks, smudges were all over the walls. The doorbell had exposed wiring. The swing had slats that did not stay in place so if you wanted to sit down, you would fall through. The swing cushion was absolutely disgusting and had never been maintained. It would be a health hazard honestly to sit on the cushion as it appeared to have black mold growing all over it. The couch and coffee table in the living room were dirty with stains all over them. The grill was rusted and when my husband attempted to use it, the bottom fell out.
We expressed our concerns to 30A vavay. The person on staff stopped by our rental and said that she does property inspections, but "bc we are flipping 15 properties every Saturday, it's impossible to inspect every one. " "It's impossible to do a deep clean after every guest;" and "I have no control over them. " Side note: my cleaning service at my primary home cleans weekly and every 6 months does a deep clean. 2 cleaners are able to deep clean in 4-5 hours a 4200 square ft home. My home has never looked as dirty as what this house looks, which tells me the cleaning service is not even doing the bare minimum.
They offered to have the cleaning service come back out as well as maintenance. We said yes to that and neither came out the entire week nor did 30avacay attempt to follow up.
30Avacay was supposed to give us an access code upon booking for beach rentals but did not due to a "glitch." Because of this, beach rentals were no longer available and it essentially affected our time there. They made no attempt to compensate or own their faults and refused to allow us to speak to a manager.
