"My wife and I enjoyed our stay here! The room is basic but equipped with all the essentials (private entrance, private bathroom, kitchen sink, and fridge). It’s perfect for use as a home base while spending your days out and about. It is very close to a bus stop, about a 4 min walk, which gives easy connection to the rest of the city. The family is very quiet and we were not disturbed at all during our stay. "

"We loved the house. Plenty of room inside for 10 of us and a wonderful play space on the grounds for little kids. Also, there is a wonderful public playground 5-10 minutes by foot from the house. It’s an easy walk to local shopping and the town center in Musselburgh. By car, we were 25 minutes from Edinburgh city center and the Royal Mile. Two buses that are a 5-10 walk from the house take 20 minutes to get to Edinburgh city center."

"We loved our week at Shepherds rest! Ilona was lovely and answered questions quickly and was so good to check in periodically. The house was clean and comfortable. The scariest part of the stay was driving through the tunnel when coming and going but we were driving a 9 passenger van so a small car would have no problems at all. There are beautiful walks right outside the door and it was peaceful and quiet. Lovely place to stay!"

"La gente muy amable en todo momento, decoración hermosa, excelentemente bien ubicado al inicio de Victoria St, (el diagon alley de Harry potter) y también con salida a Cowgate y Marketgrass St. (Super cerca del Castillo de Edimburgo y la Royal Mile) Pueden mejorar en cuanto a la variedad de alimentos y horarios de los mismos. "
