The property was perfect for our Hogmanay 2025 stay that included parents, 3 children and their spouses and a baby. Design and function were thoughtfully done and everything was in working order. Playing games in the evening by the fire and breakfasts around the big kitchen table were big hits. Jane is very responsive and helpful. Thanks for an amazing stay!

This is an amazingly beautiful house and very comfortable. Great location. The host was attentive and responsive to all our requests. The nicest place I have stayed with vrbo. It is nicer than the pictures!

Memorial golf trip in Scotland, honoring my father.

The lodging was at least as nice as advertised. Location was excellent in city center would definitely consider it again if I were traveling with a group requiring that many bedrooms and staying in Edinburgh.
Me, my five sons, my son-in-law, and my oldest grandson during a memorial golf trip in Scotland to honor my late father. This picture is taken at Muirfield, less than an hour from Top Hat House.

Gorgeous property in Fabulous Location

The property is even prettier in person! Check in was easy and communication with the owners was very thorough. The house is beautifully decorated with lots of natural light and in a fabulous location.

Edinburgh luxury city break

A beautiful well-appointed house in a great location. Easy to walk around the city from here but bus and tram stops very nearby too. The house is gorgeous and felt like home the moment we arrived.

Incredible House and Location

Pristine house with high ceilings and 5 FULL bedrooms with attached master baths. The walls and doors are thick so you cannot hear the other guests — this was perfect for our group as we were aged 2-78 and everyone was on different sleep schedules. Multiple playgrounds, groceries, coffee shops, and restaurants within close walking distance. 2 minute walk to the airport tram. Perfect place for groups to stay

Perfect place for our family

We were traveling with extended family and for all nine of us this was a terrific place to stay. The house was roomy and well appointed. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of major attractions.

A great place for family

We very much enjoyed our stay at Top Hat House. We were a family of 6 adults (3 couples) and one toddler, and the house was perfect for our needs. The layout is excellent, it is well-appointed, and it's in a great location for accessible sight-seeing but is also fairly quiet.

Great stay

The Top Hat House was great. Plenty of room for the 9 of us. Clean, comfortable and well located. Near restaurants. I would gladly stay here again if we return to Edinburgh.

Great house - spacious and comfortable

Great location if you don’t mind walk to many of the tourist attractions. Perfect for us. House is terrific and everyone was happy with the spacious bedrooms and modern bathrooms.

Tip our hat to top hat!

An absolutely gorgeous and commodious home that has everything you might need - all while in a perfect location! Weeks after our trip ended, my family still talks about how wonderful our experience was here as we spent some of our favorite nights in the house drinking wine around the fire after long days exploring all the fun and beautiful things nearby.

Harry and Katie’s Wedding

We wanted our family to all be together to celebrate our sons wedding in Scotland. The Top Hat House worked at perfect. Easy walk to center of town the Tram and numerous restaurants. Great place to stay instead of a hotel Room.

Wonderful townhouse

Our family of 7, three generations, thoroughly enjoyed this house. It was in a quiet neighborhood, lots of space for everyone and a terrific kitchen. Couldn’t have asked for anything better!

Cannot fault this place

Excellent accommodation, in walking distance of many of Edinburgh’s attractions. Lovely large lounge and kitchen and five large bedrooms all with an en-suite. Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.

Beautiful Townhouse

This is a gorgeous, well appointed luxury property. There were a few things, like missing or burned out lightbulbs in some of the lamps in the bedrooms. But overall it's a great location and perfect for a large group.

Wedding stay

Our family stayed here for our daughters wedding . It was a lovely and spacious home to celebrate the special event. The owner , Jane, was very helpful when we contacted with a couple of queries. Would recommend it for a peaceful and elegant stay in the centre of the city.
