"We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Greasewood Grocery. The cabin is right off the main road headed to Terlingua. It’s is a rain water only non-potable water source, which was not a problem for us. We brought our own water for drinking. The shower has an instant-hot water heater., which worked great. The AC kept us cold. It does have WiFi, but we did not test it during our stay. "The location was amazing! Awesome for star viewing. We were in cabin #8 so that spot was even better to sit and view. The only thing that happened was we had left to go to dinner, came back and someone had actually driven there truck and parked it right next to our window on the side and had already made a fire in the pit that was next to our porch. He offered to move over once we were there but he already had a fire going so we said it’s ok. For one there was no way to drive back there unless...

"Was only a dome with a speaker and dirty socks under the bed and a port-a-potty. There was no chairs or places to sit under the stairs or a fireplace I felt like I was roughing it. Way overpriced considering what is was. I would not stay again "

"Everything was perfect from the word go! We had to reserve last minute because our first rental was a nightmare. This place was super nice! Clean, cool, quiet, comfortable, excellent host and excellent communication!! We would stay again and it would be our first choice next time!"

"Property was beautiful, and so was the surrounding area. Porta potty closest to our dome was not remotely clean at all, but the one 20 feet away from it was so it was no big deal. The first night was great, (other than getting bitten up) and then we woke up and made breakfast and left for our hike. When we got back to the dome, i attempted to make dinner and realized the area surrounding our food bags was being infested with ants that were getting through the cracks where the wall met the floor....

"The host communicated well, although the directions need a bit of updating. He ensured we were prepared for the somewhat remote location. The facilities were clean but needed some minor maintenance. The setting was fun for anyone that is ready for something a bit different."
