Lovely home; Lovely vacation

Great feeling walking in the door to see such a warm and welcoming home. Close to the Legacy Trail for ridingand walking. Glad we chose this Venice spot!

The property was just as described and pictures were true. The host was exceptional. Very responsive and made sure our needs were met. We have already rented another house from him and will return with friends.

Great location, Cozy Home

This is a perfect home for a family looking for a home in Venice where you can bring the entire family, including your dog! Great location with quick access to everything in Venice including the island. Lots of restaurants nearby with great food and lots to do on weekends. The backyard is fenced and very private in a quiet neighborhood. The Florida room was perfect to set up my office to enjoy the sunshine while working. The host communication was great through the reservation process although we did not need them during our stay (which is a good thing)! Enjoy your stay!

Our stay was wonderful.

This rental was great! We hosted a Christmas dinner and the rental was spacious, the kitchen was comfortable for hosting. Something went wrong with the water system while we were on an outing and the property management company answered our call and repaired the problem within an hour. We appreciated the washer/dryer. The fence was secure for our dog. Thank you for a great stay and a clean home!

Great house

This was the second time to rent this house for visiting our son. We really like the area, being close to the beach and convenience for our son. The only issue was the fact that the cable/internet was down due to Hurricane Ian. We only found out a few hours before check-in on Wednesday of our 5 night stay. It was unsure exactly when it would be restored. We would have rented a different house if we had known beforehand. Being unable to watch any weather, television or sporting events, we asked if we could check out early. VRBO and Dan approved our change of plans. By the time we left on Friday afternoon, Comcast had sent someone to work on the service. Despite this issue, we will consider staying again for future visits to the area. Dan was timely in response to any questions we had, overall a great host.

Amazing!!!

From the first time I inquired about staying at this property, to the checkout process, it was perfect! Great communication from the owner, they were very accommodating to my dogs and me. The house itself is very spacious, comfortable, clean, has everything you can can possibly need, in a quiet neighborhood and is in an amazing location. I felt very safe, welcomed and home away from home in this house! Thank you again for helping my pups and me get through our transition! I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Venice area!

Christmas in Venice

The property mgt. was good, very nice and great communication. The facility itself is in need of some upgrades to made it a more pleasant experience. We spent a great deal of time cleaning each and every day. The backyard is very sandy and it was impossible to keep it out of the house. The provided amenities were not the best. Chipped dishes, poor quality pots and pans, etc… The cabinets are of poor quality and the surface is coming loose. I just expected much nicer comforts for the price we paid. The neighborhood is very nice and so close to everything we enjoy.

Sunset Villa was cozy.

Sunset Villa was overall clean, nice amenities available. The inclusion of the bikes was really nice since the bike path is so close. We didn't use the kitchen except to make coffee in the morning so I don't have any feedback about cooking. The only negative feedback I would give is the shower curtains should be changed or cleaned more often.

Total Relaxation

This rental was exactly what our family needed! The house was fully stocked with everything we needed so besides filling it with our food, there was nothing to worry about. The house was clean, quaint and offered lots of storage space so you could really unpack and make yourself feel at home. We loved the big back yard with the privacy fence- this made traveling with our 2 big dogs and our 3 children so much easier. We relaxed at the house quite a bit, but also visited 3 of the nearby beaches which were between 10 and 20 minutes from the house. They were all beautiful! During our stay, the famous Venice Beach fishing pier was under construction for repairs; however we found another great pier (Anger Pier) in Englewood close by. We liked that area so much, we went back the next evening to enjoy a Sunset and Dolphin Cruise that takes off right across the street from the pier. Detwilers Amish Market was so amazing we visited twice during the week to stock up, and the nearby Ideal Car Museum was such a cool FREE attraction to stroll through. Our rental contact, Ruth, was fantastic. Excellent communication and easy to get in touch with if needed; however, the house was perfect and we didn’t have to contact her at all during our stay. The rental information binder she has in the house was super helpful too. We would definitely book this rental again. The house and area were great if you are looking for a relaxing beach week!

Your home was perfect for our family and very dog friendly. The location was ideal. Ruth was extremely accommodating and the house was fully furnished. She even went beyond to include highlights in the the area!!!

House was very clean and cozy. Everything needed for a week’s vacation stay was provided for. Beds were very comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood. Snacks and water bottles in fridge were a nice touch. Ruth (owner) was vey nice and quickly responds to any questions. We brought our two dogs and they enjoyed having the enclosed yard to go out in. They especially enjoyed the doggie beach which was only about a 10 minute drive away – and the reason we chose the area and house. The doggie beach itself is very clean and stretches quite far. Also, many really good places to eat (especially Italian) all within 5-10 minute drive. Enjoyed downtown Venice, Sharky’s on the Pier, Benny Bada Bing Pizza, and the New York Pizza Café has great pizza. Drive to St. Armand’s Island/Sarasota is a nice, short drive away. Would recommend staying – especially if you have dogs.

Our stay at Sunset Villa

We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Villa everything was clean and comfortable and charming...the owners have a book that is very helpful with maps and things to do in the local area and they even had a basket of snacks on the kitchen counter and water bottles in the frig... You have everything you need in the kitchen including a blender which I used for Morning smoothies they also have Beach towels and bikes very well appointed... Ruth was very helpful and the fenced backyard was perfect for our dogs ... We enjoyed staying there so we could visit my Son and his Family for Easter it was last minute and Ruth was very helpful with the process as well... I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a pet friendly place that is Convient to the Beaches they even have access to the ferry that is for their neighborhood that goes to a Private part of the Beach that we will have to check out next time!

Can't wait to go back!

We loved our month at Sunset Villa. The property was perfect for us....very clean house, convenient location, and a nice fenced yard which was great for our dogs. Ruth was extremely accommodating and responsive even going out of her way to bring us extra chairs in time for the Venice boat parade. We visited nearby Shamrock Park daily for walks with our dogs and enjoyed the bikes included in the house rental to ride along the intercoastal. Another perk was the ferry pass to the private South Venice Beach. Wish we didn't have to return to NY!

Perfect vacation spot!

This home was incredibly pristine - including the outside - and was exactly how the pictures described it. Great space for spreading out. Kitchen had new(er) appliances and was well stocked with the basics (cups/glasses, dishes, bake ware/utensils, etc). The home came with two very nice beach cruiser bikes and a lot of beach toys. It was easy to bike from the house to the paved bike paths that took us up and down the intercostal. Convenient location to both the Island and south & east Venice. Especially appreciated the washer/dryer as well. Be sure to take advantage of the provided ferry pass and enjoy the beach! We will definitely stay here again.

Loved it!!!

This is our second time 😊 and we love it. Peaceful, quiet, close to the beach. Everything you need you will find in the house. Our dog loves the back yard. Plenty of space for him to run around.Can't wait to go back.
