Convenient, Clean and Affordable

The Breezy Villa was just as described except for the Ferry Pass. Everything else was great. We were looking for a comfortable place to spend a couple of weeks to finish out the midwestern winter. Overall, everything was great. We loved the layout and it was very comfortable. The neighborhood is OK but the house is on a busy street. It made it a little challenging to walk the dog since there are no sidewalks. The location is great. Close to shopping, restaurants and minutes from the beach, old downtown Venice and the YMCA which has a great pool. If I could make a couple of suggestions or recommendations they would be the following (and these are highly personalized: 1) We love to cook and this is not a "cooks kitchen'. The "spices" were salt, pepper and garlic powder, so if you like to cook, bring your own. Pots and pans were adequate but there wasn't a dish/pan to bake to bake brownies. Other dishes and utensils were fine. 2) Add a TV to the bedrooms. We brought a small TV with us for the bedroom so it wasn't a big issue but since everything is Wi-Fi connected this could be done for a minimal cost. 3) The backyard is pretty sandy and not really a "lawn" but probably pretty typical for the area. We are used to Kentucky Bluegrass in the Midwest and our dog did not particularly care for the yard. He's rather finicky anyway. He tiptoed out and did his business but did not care to play out there. Overall, a very good experience!

Just okay

Don't get me wrong; the owner was nice to work with and responsive to many of our concerns (coffeemaker inoperable and lousy vacuum), but there are some issues that you wouldn't know about unless you stay there. It is on a very busy, noisy road in a subdivision where traffic is heavy. The backyard is just dirt and weeds. Our dog didn't even like to go out there. She'd come back with prickers in her feet. The house, although well equipped, needs a thorough cleaning (fans, vents, faux plants and screens were all very dusty and dirty). Bed was very comfortable and kitchen was well equipped for the most part. Dishwasher is old and rusting on the interior, but functional. There is NO pass to the beach as described in the ad and it was $300 to buy one. The owner did not let us know this before we arrived. The pictures are probably 10 years old (as are the magazines and restaurant guides in the welcome book) The worst part is by far the back yard!!!

Breezy Villa

This property is close to all the beaches we like to visit. The owner is very good at fixing any issues that come up. The weather was lovely during our one month stay but red tide kept us away from the beach.

Staying with this host again

Host is very helpful and responsive, providing useful local information. The fenced in back yard was private and perfect for our four legged companions. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, host provided beach gear including shark tooth basket (found plenty at Caspersen Beach). Already booked with this host again for next year.

A vacation spot that doesn’t disappoint

With Ian hammering parts of the gulf coast, Dan, the owner worked efficiently and without rest to make sure that our stay was in a clean, pleasant area with access to all of the things we wished to do there. The home was comfortably appointed and conveniently situated to local beaches, downtown restaurants and Saratoga. Would look to stay again and highly recommend!

Great Stay!

An older property clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Pictures posted show what you are getting with no hidden surprises. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was that there was no pass, as stated in listing, for the South Venice Ferry to get to the beach close to the house. So we had to drive to the public beaches. But overall we had a really great time in Venice and the surrounding areas!

Beach Home for College Baseball

We stayed at this property while our son was playing college baseball in the Venice area. We rally liked the home. The only downfall was that it was on a main road and there was no place to walk with the family.

First Timers

This was the first time we vacationed in Venice Florida. We picked Venice because of the dog friendly beach. We brought our German Shepherd and had an absolutely wonderful time. The house was roomy with a great back yard. The house included everything we needed. Beach towels, beach chairs even a net we used to capture seashells. The binder was so helpful listing many places to eat. Most of the time we just picked up food on the way home from the beach and had a nice dinner at the house. The house was in a great location, easy to drive in and out of the neighborhood. Great vacation!

House in Venice Fl

The house includes everything you need, from dishes to shampoos and even sunscreens, Wi-Fi, TV with Netflix, prime and YouTube. The neighborhood was too quiet for us. We didn’t spend much time in Venice, mostly we drove to Sarasota, st Pete and Tampa, which took us at least one hour to drive. Overall we had a great experience in Florida. Check in was very easy, communication with owners as well. Great house!! Our family enjoyed!!

Quaint Beach House Vibes

We had a terrific stay at Breezy Villa. This dog-friendly house had all the beach vibes we craved. We made use of the South Venice Ferry passes and the assortment of beach chairs/toys in the garage. There were a lot of amenities within the home and a cute welcome basket that included dog treats! We needed a house in close proximity to my parent's home and this perfectly fit the bill. Because of our limited needs, we didn't use everything this house had to offer. If you're looking for a simple home while off exploring beautiful Sarasota County, this is it. 2 Thumbs & Paws up!

Great location near the beach

We had a great time. House was perfect for our party of 4 and 2 dogs. Everything was there that you would have at your house. Hosts were great with communication and sending information about the area. We loved it and will be back again!

Ready to Move!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay....In fact, my husband was ready to ask the owners of the house if they wanted to sell. It was just the right size for us and our dog. The backyard was enclosed so we didn't have to worry about relaxing on the patio while the dog was outside with us. We were close to the Brohard Paw Park which is a beach where dogs are allowed to play off leash. What fun! We will definitely be back to Venice and will want to book this house again.

Very Nice House, Great Location!

This is a very nice house with a really good location for us. It was just my wife and me and our 3 small dogs. Fenced in yard was great for the dogs (one of ours spent 90% of his time outside with the squirrels and lizards). We walked the dogs almost daily at Shamrock Park, or took them to Dog Beach, which is a very short drive. There are loads of restaurants in the area too.

Perfect

We stayed in Breezy Villa for five weeks in March- April. We loved the neighborhood as we could walk for miles with our dogs. The fenced back yard was private and a secure place for our dogs. The home had everything we needed and we enjoyed the opportunity to take the ferry to the beach. It was perfect, we'll be back!

Comfortable but needs some attention.

This house has its pros and cons. The check-in process was extremely easy and Ruth was very quick in responding to emails. She also sent a lot of information on things to do and dog friendly parks and restaurants. The home was comfortable and had everything you need to cook right at home which we did every night. I really liked the large laundry room with a long counter to set things on and fold clothes. It was also nice to have a garage for parking the car in. The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of towels. One thing that was a bit disappointing is that there are no sidewalks for walking your dog(s). The road is narrow and we didn’t feel comfortable walking our dogs here. However, just down the road is a really nice park with walking paths. We took our dogs there every morning for a long walks. The house has a nice fenced in back yard. It was nice to be able to let the dogs out and not worry about them running off. One thing that I think would have been nice is if the patio area were screened in. If you do not mind getting eat up by mosquitos then it is OK. However, they love me so sitting outside was not for me. There are several disappointing things about this place. Though in general the home was clean, there are places that could use some attention (I'm a clean freak). One is the oven, which was extremely dirty and does not look like it has been cleaned in a long time. Also, in the kitchen there is an open ceiling light that was full of dead bugs. The light bulb in the living room ceiling fan went out and when we took the globe off it too had dead bugs in it, which we cleaned out before replacing the globe. While we were there, we had a few cold nights and days and though we had the heat on, the master bedroom and bathroom were really cold. Luckily, I found a couple of blankets to add to the bed. The rest of the house was fine except for these two areas. Then the last thing that was disappointing is when we took some of the beach items with us to the beach, mainly the shade umbrella, we discovered that the whole umbrella is broken. So we were not able to spend as much time at the beach as we had hoped for that day. I’m not sure why this broken umbrella hasn’t been thrown out and replaced. Makes me wonder if things don’t get looked at over time. Overall this wasn’t too bad of a place but some more attention to cleaning and a bit of updating of the interior would make this place much nicer.

Great for a FL Getaway!

Check-in process and communication with Ruth was super smooth and easy. She took care of everything we needed or any question we had. The house was spacious and fully equipped, and it's very pet-friendly. Will definitely return!

Fun Time in Venice at Breezy Villa

We enjoyed our stay at Breezy Villa. The house was very clean and comfortable, and Ruth made sure we had everything we needed! The location was accessible to stores, restaurants and beaches, but was situated in a nice and quiet neighborhood. We will definitely make a reservation to return for another getaway to Venice in the near future.

Great place!

This lovely house is a terrific place to spend a vacation. Convenient to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and all the other amenities Venice has to offer. Communication with the manager/owner was fantastic also. She contacted us multiple times prior to arriving to make sure we know all there was to know about this great property. Highly recommended!

Amazing rental!

We were so comfortable at the villa! It had everything we needed and more besides! We definitely want to return! Having had a dubious rental through a different company at the start of our holiday, we were delighted when we opened the door to this villa! It is light and airy and great attention is paid to detail throughout! There is easy parking on the driveway to the front of the property and a lively garden to the rear, where we spent many hours relaxing! The Wi-fi was excellent and the beds were super comfortable, as were the sofas in the lounge! The location is great, in a quiet neighbourhood, but only a short drive to shops and restaurants. Everything about the villa is great and we really do hope to return soon!

Braves Spring training

We Decided to go to the new Braves Spring Training facility and chose Breezy Villa as our place to stay. It was a great place It was well stocked with everything we needed and when we had a small “emergency” Ruth was able to help us with in only 10 minutes!
