Diamond in the Rough
The Good: The house is beautiful inside and out, with high ceilings and is well maintained. For us it was centrally located between Raymond James Stadium and Ybor City, and we had hoped to walk to Ybor City, but after seeing the neighborhood we were located in, we decided against it. The Bad:Location, location, location... While the home is beautiful it is unfortunately situated deep in the ghetto. I believe the description mentions the neighborhood is in transition, but it is far away from that transition being completed. During the day everything seem "ok", but when the evening hours roll in the neighborhood comes alive, and not in a good way. That said, we did not have any issues luckily, but there were seven of us so we felt a little more at ease, we just didn't go outside at night. Also, not sure if it was intentional, but around 8:30am on check-out day they bumped the thermostat to 78 degrees remotely in the middle of summer, eventhough check-out was at 10am, not very cool when we were rushing to pack and load the cars. In Summary:I would potentially stay here again in maybe five years if the neighborhood had transitioned a bit more.
