Very comfortable

All the comforts of home

This is my third stay. Love the proximity to main ybor. For anyone staying soon, the hot tub was off after a couple of days. Hopefully will be working again soon.

Quick visit

We had no problems with our stay. The reviews mentioned the neighborhood being a bit scary but I didn't find it scary it's just an older part of town. The area was clean. We had no problems with noise or neighbors. The place was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there with no complaints.for the price it was perfect for our 2 night stay before we borded our cruise.

First and last Vrbo stay

Where to begin? The closer we got to our property the sketchier the neighborhood got. Most of the houses on the street have bars on the windows. One neighboring house has a prominent sign advising to beware of gun. When we entered the "beautiful property" we were almost blown out the door by the 3 air conditioners running full blast to cool the main living space (approximately 14x18 feet). Both bedrooms (11x11 feet) had 2 air conditioners running. The bathroom, which was a sauna, had no A/C of any kind. An apparently clogged drain caused the tub to fill with BROWN water during shower. That took care of any desire to try out the hot tub. "Backyard" decorations included an ancient discarded kitchen sink. After eating on dishes provided, I attempted to place dirty bowl and spoon in the dishwasher. Rancid, rotting food floated in stagnant water in the bottom of the appliance and 2 dishwasher parts lay in the bottom rack. The stench was mostly contained by keeping the door securely shut. The seating space for TV viewing was 1 futon which we had to move into the middle of the room so that air blowing everywhere wasn't directly on the back of our necks. The sound generated by all that moving air made it very difficult to hear the TV at all. It took us about 5 minutes to decide we would only stay 1 night. Upon departure, we saw a security chain hanging where it had been ripped off the front door. The owner would be well-advised to invest in maintenance and insulation. Get the idea?

Great value for the price

This property was priced great. The neighborhood comes off looking a little rough pulling in but the neighbors seemed super nice and we didn’t have any issues. The location in terms of proximity to Ybor City and the trolley to downtown was amazing. You can’t beat that for the price. The unit was clean, except for the dishwasher was all disassembled and smelled from being closed dirty and wet. We hand washed what we used. Instructions for check in were clear and timely. The unit was a lot more beat up that I looked in the listing photos- which wasn’t a deal breaker for us by any means but it could definitely use some TLC. The AC units had an hard time keeping up in the second bedroom but again, for the price and an older building in Florida, not a major issue. Overall I’d stay here again for the price and location.

Wonderful place!

Great place to stay if looking around downtown Tampa and Ybor City. I was in town for an event at the convention center next to the hockey arena, and this location was a great choice. It is clean, nicely renovated, and very comfortable, and the hosts are so nice and responsive for any questions. It is right beside the interstate but noise was not an issue, and when I took an uber downtown, it was only a short wait and only about $11, so an easy choice if you don’t want to drive. If we return next year for the same event, we will look to stay here again!

This place is in the middle of the projects! Super shady! I can’t let my 2 11 y /o girls stay here! Ridiculous! I want a refund!

Just like home!

This location is very accessable to highways as well as the main ybor area. It has all the comforts of home. The hot tub is awesome. The home is well lit, inside and out, and well insulated between units. No noise from attached neighbors. The back patio has several chairs, tables, and an umbrella. The surface is broken shells so bring your water shoes. I have stayed here before and i will return. The host is very attentive and checked in via email to make sure everything was ok. Enjoy!

Ybor City Relaxing Weekend

We enjoyed our stay! Close to YBOR City where we wanted to spend more time exploring. We attended a lot of events in Tampa, but never had much time to visit YBOR. This was a great opportunity to stay close by and enjoy the many restaurants and shops.

Cockroaches Cockroaches Cockroaches

We had Cockroaches and ants. We notified the owner as soon as we spotted the 1st bug. No response all day. Contacted vrbo. They told us to use personal contact number after they contacted them. We started a report. Owner told us he called a bug company & to wait. That was Saturday. We heard nothing again until we were leaving Monday morning. Terrible communication. Did not offer spray or any type of immediate solution for the ants & cockroaches. Also, the dish washer leaked water onto the floor, one of the front burners of the gas stove would not light, and holes in the walls in the bathroom. We love staying in ybor but this was terrible. Never again. The owner did offer 1 night refund but i would of preferred a quick bug solution instead.

If I stayed only one night, I would not have noticed the openings in the baseboards. Had several encounters with roaches. Communicated with the agent and they promised to treat when I left. Otherwise, property was clean. They neighborhood has homeless around the immediate neighborhood. The agent recommended driving if going out at night. The property has all amenities listed. Do not remember any ramps for entry.

Great price and walkable

Easily walkable (though the neighborhood is a little rough around the edges) to the free trolley in downtown Ybor! Love the little back porch and light it feels like a little home!

Ybor City….

As portrayed, close (maybe walking distance) to the main points of interest in Ybor City. The place is clean and comfortable, well appointed and updated. But, literally right across the street from I-4, noisy outside, pretty quiet inside considering. Old, old old-Florida neighborhood. Only one (other) beef….needs an ice maker or at least trays.
