Stay if you don’t mind cockroaches

The location for this unit was decent, close to the beaches and shops. The bedrooms were out dated but served their purpose and didn’t impact our stay. Two days into our stay we saw cockroaches in the unit. I messaged the host through the VRBO app as soon as I saw them. I then looked through the other reviews for this unit and saw another family had the same problem when they came in May of this year and stayed less than 24 hours. Though I messaged the host twice, that apparently was not sufficient as I called the next morning to say that we had checked out and was condescendingly chastised for not allowing them to rectify the issue. There isn’t rectifying cockroaches. We left and stayed at a resort down the road that we have stayed at before and there were no roaches there. I kindly asked for Resort Rentals to contact the owner for a partial refund as we couldn’t stay the last two nights and they refused though they did for the previous renters in May who complained of cockroaches as well. We have used VRBO many times over the years through our travels and we won’t anymore. We are good renters, we don’t complain, we leave the unit tidy when we leave and deserved a little more consideration for a partial refund.

Ensure cleaned and exterminated prior to trip

We stayed here less than 24 hrs due to the cleanliness and roach infestation. The hotel front desk could not help due to being a private owned unit. The maintenance on call for the company did return my late calls and attempted to find us somewhere else. There were no other options available to be moved to. We checked out and found a cancellation somewhere close, being holiday weekend it was difficult. The unit did not appear filthy until you started looking at mold in bathroom, hair and others contact lenses stuck around the base boards and dirt and what appeared to be roach legs next to the fridge. We did not realize there were roaches until we found them on our pizza, my sons snack, on the cabinets and crawling on the walls in the evening time. The staff at the resort rental company was friendly and contacted the owner for a refund. It’s a great location but unfortunately not somewhere I would recommend.

Beautiful condo with excellent views...

This condo had everything we needed for our beach girls getogether. We enjoyed our time together and really appreciated the spacious layout and the well-equipped kitchen. We'll definitely book another stay at Sunset Vistas.

Great spot for a relaxing family vacation!

Our stay was great! The place was clean. The pool was nice and not too busy. It would be great to get the check in code at 3:55 instead of 4:05 or if property is ready before, send the code when property is ready.

Mostly great.

Great property. Our third year here. Not much direction on checking out and tried reaching out Sunday night cause ac went out and we also wanted to ask for a late check and what we needed to do before checking out. No response to phone call or email or in app message until a day later. Luckily it was only one night.

Family trip

Lovely stay on the beach. Condo was nice and what we were looking for. Could have probably used a deep clean but overall not bad. We didn’t find the air conditioning as cool as we would have liked it.

was there for my mom to meet great grand daughter

Everything was excellent, but for the check in process of only being able to check in at three, we were craving with an infant, which made it hard. Other than that is was spectacular.

A quick getaway

The condo was not up to our standards, we have booked many vacation spots with VRBO the last 10-15 years and this is the first property that we were disappointed with. Was very dirty and needed a good cleaning, that being the main issue. It seemed that the owner was updating somethings but still needed to work on other things. Will not rebook with that property again.
