Great Property, "Evolving" Neighborhood

This is a tricky one. It's great property, accurately depicted in the listing. with communicative hosts. Pros are a nice pool, nice interior of the home with most things you need in the kitchen. Cons are a pretty sketchy neighborhood just a handful of blocks away. All exterior spaces of the home are covered by security cameras. I used Waze to find a nearby liquor store to buy some wine and I arrived at a store with bars on the windows and all their bottles secured behind plexiglass. I imagine real estate listings say, "Up and coming neighborhood," and I bet they've said this for years. So, I'm ok with this location; I'd happily stay here again, but I wouldn't bike around at night and I recognize that some family and friends would not be happy or feel safe.

Family Time in St Pete

The kitchen was well equipped with an everything we needed and more. The kids loved fishing off the dock and swimming in the pool. Lots of room to spread out - relax - play games.

Relaxing getaway to St. Pete

We had a great time with our family in St. Pete. Amy’s home is wonderful. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax for the 6 of us, and a very quiet neighborhood. We cooked some at the house and enjoyed some great restaurants close by. The pool was warm and clean. We watched fish and birds in the inlet as well as a manatee! We borrowed beach chairs which were great since we had flown in and couldn’t pack all the comforts from home. Amy was great to communicate with us at anytime we had questions by text and phone call, and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Great place to enjoy Florida’s gulf coast!

Nice peaceful place for a family stay

Had a group of three adult couples for a four day stay. Check in is at 4. It’s a “Nick Saban” check in. It’s at 4. Property is very nice. Clean. There are remotes for all the lights and fans which was odd and confusing for older guests but okay in the long run. Pool was very nice. Initial reading of listing didn’t make it seem that you had to pay extra for the kayaks (not that we would’ve used them but a heads up). Everything was in good condition. Clean. The driveway was hard on the rental minivan. I would use again.

House was great, but the giant sign at the entrance of the neighborhood telling people to lock their doors at night was a bit unnerving. 5 stars across the board if the home was in a safer community.

Peaceful stay in St. Petes

We very much enjoyed our stay. The manatees were a highlight for our family. I could have sat on the dock all day watching them. We were lucky they were there. The house was perfect for our family of four. We enjoyed the proximity to St. Petes as we attened an event at Vinroy Park. Lots to do downtown. We also enjoyed the Chattaway for lunch and Southside Coffee for breakfast and delicious espresso. Amy was very responsive and the home was beautiful. I love the beachy feel. Thank you!

Peaceful retreat

Great Stay

The pool is AMAZING! It’s about a 20 minute drive to pass a grill. My son was bummed about so much seaweed in the canal but nothing that would of been done about that. He was hoping to fish more. Property managers were quick to respond to any issues we had.

Family Getaway

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home for 5 nights. It was more than large enough to accommodate our group of four adults and two older kids with lots of seating and relaxation options. The pool and dock were amazing and the setting serene, tucked into a quiet neighborhood with close access to restaurants and entertainment. House was clean and nicely decorated and Amy was a welcoming host. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect family vacation

Our family truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely FL home. Amy was a gracious and very responsive host, emailing to make sure we were settled and happy. Our children loved the heated pool, fishing from the dock and the dolphin who visited the canal. We could not have asked for a better "home away from home"! Highly recommend and definitely hope to stay again next winter.

A wonderful stay

The home was just as advertised. The communication with the owner was easy and timely. My family of 6 plus my mother all had room to spread out. The kitchen was stocked very well and made cooking easy. We very much enjoyed our stay.

First VRBO experience

For the last 10 years, my family and I have been doing week long Summer vacations that we all look forward to every year. As the years passed, and our family has grown, we outgrew our traditional condo in the panhandle and opted to travel further south to enjoy an entire space of our own. Booking, check in, and all communications with Amy were seamless throughout our stay, however we had several issues the property itself. The outside property is very poorly maintained. Listing pictures show a maintained pool deck, furniture with cushions, live plants, and significantly less clutter than what we were welcomed to. The pool deck we experienced was full of rusted sunscreen bottles on outdoor shelving, unusable furniture do to safety concerns, caked up leaves and other debris all around the pool cover, the outdoor shower was not hooked up to water source and was not secured to any structure, the hose was in a knotted pile on the side of the pool, the side of the house was completely cluttered with owner items. Inside of the house was as advertised, however we were given approx. 6 towels for 9 guests, the master bedroom had no comforter or blanket on the bed. The laundry room is located in the garage and is a complete mess due to owner property and unsafe for use by anyone other than an adult. The hot water heater turned off mid week. Lastly, an entire cabinet of glasses fell off the wall onto my sister as she opened the cabinet due to poor installation. She was covered in bruises

Nice family vacay

We enjoyed this house. The decorations are nice and they have all you need it was pretty close to anything we wanted to do. The pool was great and relaxing! The owner was very responsive to any questions we had.

Beautiful home, so-so location

The home and all its amenities are wonderful and perfect for our group. Having never been to St. Pete, we didn’t realize at first glance how “unpretentious” the neighborhood would be, but we quickly adapted and ended up having a great time.
