First, let me open by saying, i have never left a bad review in my life, but im trying to save others from going through what i went through....I arrived into town very late after a 13 hour drive. Earlier in the day, i received a text from the host with a map link to the property and an access code to the door. Long story short, the map directed me to the wrong property. I am from STL, so i was able to figure out where the actual property was. BUT, when i arrived at the property at 11:30 at night, the door code did not work. I had to rent a hotel room for the night. When i alerted the host the next morning, they acknowledged the code was wrong, but said theyd only refund half of the first night. I then contacted VRBO directly. After they reached out to the host, the host agreed to refund the whole day. HOWEVER, they never have, after ive reached out to them AGAIN. I've used VRBO for 10 years without a problem. This was the worst experience ever, and thru our interactions, its clear the host is only in this to make money and doesnt care about the customer
