Great location. The cottage has great potential, but in a desperate need of an upgrade. Blinds were all broken, couch was so small o my one person could sit on, the shower didn’t drain and fridge was iced over everything froze.

The house was in a great location with easy access to the beach. The furniture inside is a little dirty and could stand to be updated. The blinds upstairs were broken and missing slats that caused privacy issues. I would suggest replacing with new ones. It was most disappointing that construction was taking place right next door and we were awakened each morning by hammers and nail guns. Other than that, it was a great stay for us after all and we got used to things once we were settled in.

Would not stay here again!

The location is the ONLY perk of this place. Don't be deceived by the cute outter appearance and location. We would have spent the money to stay somewhere else further from the beach, had we known how bad this place was going to be. We were there on our babymoon hoping for an enjoyable, relaxing stay… only to find stains on the headboard and one of the pillow cases, bugs on the bed and the most uncomfortable bed!! And a big reason we booked this place aside from location is that it had a washer and dryer and kitchen… but the dryer doesn’t even work! They don’t even have salt & pepper for you, no coffee supplied, no dish soap to do dishes & no dishwasher, they left us two toilet paper rolls for 4 days, there was no trash bags to replace any trash. We had to go to the store for quite a few things that SHOULD BE SUPPLIED somewhere like this. Especially for the amount of money paid. To add, there is no comfortable seating area except a futon that is hard as a rock, the bathroom smells like mold probably because there is little to no ventilation, and a hot shower heats up the whole house. Oh and the blinds in the bedroom don’t even fully cover the window so people can still see in. We will not stay here again and do not recommend. Very disappointed in the money we spent here.

Amazing location

The location is phenomenal with walking access to the beach, restaurants, food trucks and shops. However, the cottage was a little rundown and needs to be updated. I made sure to message the manager of all of the broken blinds so I wouldn’t be charged. Ventilation in bathroom is nonexistent even when you open windows there’s no way for the heat to get out so everything turns damp and humid in the room. Oh and door upstairs wouldn’t lock. Other than those items we enjoyed our stay and again, location was phenomenal and management was kind!

Too Corporate

My dad had a heart attack while we were at the unit. I asked Vacasa if we could get even a small refund for the days we couldn’t be there since we had to leave to attend to him. The said no. Very disappointing and greedy. I’m a single mom and only have a small budget for vacations. I hope they reconsider this policy in the future. In the meantime, I won’t be using Vacasa anymore.

The worst VRBO experience I have ever had

The home was so filthy that my daughter and I could not stay there. A Vacasa representative named Deb called me after viewing pictures of the stains and absolute filth and said they would refund me and asked if I would send my invoice for the hotel we had to stay in. I sent it and then was told by a text service that I would be refunded but not compensated for our hotel. Not only are they lying online to potential clients, they are also lying over the phone to current clients. Not only is this home unclean, it is unsafe due to the mold all over bathroom ceiling, questionable stains on couch, chair, fabric headboard and bed skirt. No cleaning crew came like the Vacasa Rep assured. We were forced to leave and had to pay for a hotel. Only one room was left in the whole area and we had to stay in 2 different rooms, for 2 different nights, forcing us to pack up every day and wait for another possible room. This was the worst VRBO experience I have ever had.

Blinds on several windows broken and missing slats. Ironing board bent and stained. Headboard of bed stained. There is room for a chest or at least a luggage stand but there is no place to put your bags but on the floor. Light fixture in bathroom falling off wall and lightbulb burned out. No extra blanket as the ac blows right on you all night. For the location i expect more.

Lovely

The place is adorable and convenient to the town. Could use a little updating with the downstairs furniture and some repairs on a few of the blinds. This was our second time there and would definitely stay again.

In need of repair

Upon arrival on Sunday evening the downstairs air cond. was broke , didn’t want to bother on a Sunday evening, so we contacted the manger on Monday morning , and repairs was scheduled that day , advised them to call us since our pet was in the home when they was coming , as late evening came we was still advised they was coming Monday for service, so all day Monday was spent staying around seaside so we could get back in short notice, it was a no show , they advised on Tuesday they was coming and we had done made plans to be in destin and I advised just to forget about repairing cause we was going to leave a day early and that was Wednesday morning early ,then when we came back from destin we walked in the home to find a young man installing a portable air cond. downstairs , he was very nice and polite but they was advised to let us know so we could be there with our pet, the place was very disappointing for seaside, when I booked I seen a/c repair was back several months but kinda figured it was repaired, blinds on doors was a wreck , bathroom ceiling had mold on it , location is the only thing going for it, we feel like we wasted Monday waiting on the repairs, and we decide to leave early , sorry but this location will never be a option for us , house is in desperate need of some repair,

Perfect Location

This is a precious little hideaway and the location could not be better. The homeowners really do need to address the mold in the bathroom as it was over the entire bathroom ceiling and floor around the bathtub. Other than the mold issue it is a perfect little getaway minutes from the beach and Seaside Square!
