Bug infested, electrical issues, no a/c
We did not stay! Do not book this house! We were told we would receive the code to enter 30 minutes prior to entry time but instead had to call and message for 5 minutes after arrival for codes and access. Then the host told us she doesnt give out codes till she sees guests come in by camera... umm okay. There is a ring so we are hoping thats what she meant. Typically not and issue but we had 7 children with us and trying to unload two vehicles before the rain came. The pictures are deceiving, the pool is much smaller and home has several cracks in the walls. There were roaches, and bug feces in kitchen, mold in the fridgerator ice and water dispenser, dead bugs around the entire home, and ants in the master bathroom. The lights on the left side of the home were not working and had to flip the breaker to get them on again. After unloading and attemtping to clean the kitchen from bug droppings and hide our pastries and food in microwaves we adjusted the a/c down to attempt to settle in. After 10 minutes the entire thermostat went black and we lost all a/c. We messaged and called the host several times in a panic and did not get a response for over 40 minute's and at this point started to reload our cars to leave. As sad as it was we were willing to deal with a bug infested house but when the air conditioner went out we said no more. I was still charged a full night, all 6 days taxes, cleaning fee, service fee, and a damage fee with no compassion from VRBO.
