My extended family from out of state, and myself were dismayed at the poor upkeep inside and on the patio. We brought ALOT of food to grill, and ended up buying a small charcoal grill to use. The sliding doors took 2 people to open and close, because of all the grit and rust in the tracks. The ice maker spewed water and formed giant icicles in the freezer compartment below. The wood floor was buckled as if the unit had been flooded at one point. The furniture is shabby and worn, inside and out. The VRBO site pictures must be from 10-15 years ago. I consider this unit to be a Bait and Switch.

That I as deceived. A victim of False advertising. In 64 years this vacation was the worst. My wife cried when she saw the room. Look at he pictures that they advertise. Look at my pictures which shows reality. I will be cancelling my membership with VRBO as obviously they helped sell the worst vacation trip ever based on the accommodation.

Dirt Everywhere. No water was provided to clean off sand Every time it rained iy brought more beach dirt to track through.

I've been a Plumber for 47 years no excuse for this not to work

Great job of cleaning windows lol. Absolutely filthy. eggs had been thrown against it

We really enjoyed the board in the window. It fit in with all the other slaps in the face

The short walk to the beach was exactly what we wanted. They had a closet with extra beach accessories (sand toys, tent, etc). The facility had a washer and dryer on site that was of no extra charge!

We had an amazing stay! The condo was very well kept and clean. We met the cleaning lady and spoke with her on several occasions. She went out of her way to get us dishwashing tablets for the dishwasher since ours had accidentally been stocked with laundry pods. The only small issues we had were parking (every time we would move one of our cars, the spot would get taken by beach goers who weren't staying on the property) and the sliding glass doors being extremely difficult to open. But we were able to somewhat fix that issue with a butter knife (to scrape the years of built up sand in the track) a vacuum and some WD40. We completely understand that the parking isn't the property owners fault. And we have both lived at the beach previously, so we know all about sand and how it gets into everything. It's expected at the beach. Overall, this was a super easy and relaxing stay in a very clean and well kept property. We would definitely be interested in returning in the future.

NP Conference

Location to conference was perfect. Was excited to be there for the Blues Festival. So much to do in the area. We enjoyed ourselves. Only thing I missed was a pool but we knew this going in. The patio is an amazing place to hang out.

Spring Break 2025

We enjoyed our stay, the location is perfect. The condo was nice, obviously it goes through much wear and tear being so close to the ocean. The sliding door is really hard to open and close, the blinds have taken a beating. Other than that, the place was great. The beds were so comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, the area was great. Thanks so much!

Beach Thanksgiving

Overall our stay was good. Check in was super easy and communication with booking was good. The condo location is right on the beach with easy beach access. The beach access had a new ramp which was very nice.You couldn't ask for a better location in relation to the beach, grocery stores and restaurants, all are right there at the condo. The condo is spacious and quiet. Condo parking was adequate and public parking is right there next to the condo.The condo could use a deep clean, fresh coat of paint, and some new, clean sitting area furniture. The sliding glass doors leading out to the beautiful patio needs cleaning and general maintenance. The doors were almost impossible to open and close. The blinds need to be replaced. There is no outside water source to wash off after being on the beach. Wifi was weak to none. Even with that said our stay was still overall pretty good. It met our needs.

Cute get away place!

Overall, great experience. Communication very good with management company and response time to have the blinds issue was excellent. Bed and bedding were lux! Bathrooms clean. Improvements: blinds, ease of opening the sliding doors improved, and upstairs windows cleaned so view of the beach/ocean improved. I’d come back!

Not as expected

Pictures which were on VRBO were not current when we booked, no view of ocean from first floor. Floors were filthy, no table for eating (had to sit at island and kitchen metal stools very uncomfortable). Building was being repainted for 2.5 of the 3 weeks we stayed there. Property looks much better now.

Relocation research

My family vacation

My overall impression of the property was poor. False description of what the property would contain inside and the pictures showed the ability to completely walk out to the beach which wasn't possible. The patio and exterior of building was dirty. Patio was a huge disappointment. Furniture cushions falling apart and umbrella didn't work. 1 of the 2 patio doors were broken and all windows unable to open. Stains on towels and bedding. Mosquitoes coming in through the drain in downstairs bathroom shower. So if you used that shower you had mosquito bites on you. Damage to walls and holes in ceiling. Hooks on back of bathroom doors fell off when you went to use it. Overall we enjoyed our time on the beach but were sorely disappointed in the condition of the condo. The parking lot was super dark with no numbers on the building. So if anyone is joining you or you do an online order you need to meet them on the street. They can't find the building. Exterior shower to rinse sand off of you did not work. Need another curtain panel on each sliding door downstairs. The current ones do not cover the doors completely and we found people peeking in one evening from the patio.

Sea La Vie Beach Rental

The pictures on the VRBO site are not conducive to the actual unit. Everything looked sparkling in the pictures but when arriving we found it to be the opposite. The baseboards needed attention, the sliding glass door would not lock, the dishes were greasy looking, the air filter intake screen was dirty, there was no stopper for the tub, there were areas on the ceiling and the walls that needed drywall repair. The patio area was dirty and the grill was extremely dirty. There is an area at the corner of the patio where debris had been thrown and a snake kept slivering in/out of that area.

Wonderful Stay

First time visiting Jacksonville Beach and it was a wonderful stay Loved the outdoor patio. Very clean and really comfortable. Would stay again.

Nice property

Great property and in a perfect location. I would stay here again!!!! We had an issue with a base board coming off. I called the property manager Adam and he took care of it within several hours. Adam texted and called me right away!! The property was nicely decorated and plenty cooking supplies. You can stay here and not eat out at all. And you have your own nice big outdoor patio with a grill and outdoor patio furniture.

Not As portrayed in pictures

The property manager was very nice, coming to fix a problem right away. The inside of the rental was very clean but the patio had not been cleaned and was full of sand and debris. Bags of topsoil weighted down the patio umbrella and there were additional bags at the side of the building along with other debris and a deflated pool float. The outdoor cushions were molded and had to be removed before using the furniture. Unfortunately, what looks like a view of the beach from the patio, is not. There is a large sand dune that prevents any view of the beach/ocean from the lower level. There is, however, a view from the bedrooms upstairs. The inside of the property was very clean. The property manager even ordered new patio curtains to replace soiled and damaged ones. If you like to cook, there are enough pans but no serving bowls. All in all, the property was okay, but I would not have paid as much as was asked for it and won’t rent it again.

Great spot for beach fun

Excellent excellent property. So great to be right on the beach. Only concern: you can see the ocean from the patio. Which I found extremely disappointing. Beware… If you want to sit on the patio and look at the ocean, you won't be able to do so. Otherwise, for the price, it's a fantastic place to be.
