The cottage is situated on the site of a wedding venue but it is far enough away to not be disturbed or us not to infringe on the wedding celebrations taking place. "The house is very comfortable. It is in a quiet neighbourhood close to the ocean. Lots of room, lots of dishes etc.If I could make a few suggestions, they would be: more kitchen towels( one for 5 people is not enough) a drying rack for clothes as there is a washer but no dryer. As well, the pots that have non stick coating need to be replaced as the coating is peeling. Rail service to Edinburgh is very reliable and fast. "If you want to explore Edinburgh this is a really great location. While compact, we were comfortable as a family of 5, and the kitchen was very well stocked, with some lovely personal touches. Station and supermarket both an easy walk. Very nice."

"All was great. This is a working stable with horses and those many that have to care for horses, plus at least one friendly dog. You felt welcomed and that was appreciated. With a 15 minute drive you are in North Berwick and so close to John Muir park and Seacliff. Seacliff is special. The only, and minor, negative was that it was not a peaceful place when we were there- lots of tree trimming (Chain saw) and chipping- so very noisy at times.
