Great location to the beach. The outdoor shower/ water area was very convenient after the beach, before getting in the pool! Having multiple doors to access the house was a great bonus. I had contacted the owner about making sure there were alarms on the sliding doors to the pool. The “alarms” that were on there only made a slight sound of the door was open after about 2 minutes. Not as soon as it opened, luckily our kids didn’t try to open the doors at night, since that’s where the bunk beds are. That could definitely be improved. The house had little things that were discouraging but not hindering of our stay. The tile right by the front door would “cave” down if you stepped on a specific tile, the light fixture in the hall bathroom had a broken glass (there was a piece of glass in the kitchen under the dishwasher, I’m assuming was from that when we checked in), the ice maker would get jammed and leak water everywhere each night, the couch had multiple stains on it, and patio pavers were slightly raised in certain areas that would catch your toe if you didn’t pay attention. Overall, it was a place to stay close to the beach but I wouldn’t go to this house again. The Aventstay team communication was AMAZING! Very quick responses to any questions I had. I would stay at another property they own, just not this one.

Misled

This is the first time of several VRBO homes that we have stayed in that we have to give a negative review. The house seamed run down the furniture was not quality we have experienced... the couch was old and stained...the property was not well equipped ... no pool toys or beach accessories... the kitchen lacked needed utensils and glasses... This house is in need of updates and remodeling! For the money.. it is not what we expected!!

Destin Gathering for family

We booked Harper by AvantStay for our children and their spouses to enjoy a week in Destin. Loved Harper! 3 block walk to gorgeous beaches-great place, stay and location. We would and will go back!

Good location close to nice beach and all major stores. Pros:- great location- beautiful beach - house is big - new towels - games room- pack and play for infants Cons: - very high pool heat fee 160 per day- emailed property manager 3 times with some general questions. They only responded 1 out 3 messages- if you like spotless properties this is not one of them- winter months: downstairs is very cold.,which would be perfect for summer :)

Family vacation

The house was great, very spacious with more then enough beds and bathrooms for a large group. The place has everything you would need and its close to a lot of restaurants and shopping places. The beach is like a 5 minute walk from the house. We had some minor issues but we contacted the host and they sent someone to fix them right away. 10/10

Family vacation 2024

The house had plenty of room and supplies for our whole family of 10. We loved having our own grill and pool. The location was perfect, we were close to everything. We rented a golf cart to go back and forth to the beach.

Perfect home-away-from -home for our three generation family.

The house, pool and location were perfect! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for eight. Living spaces accommodated us well. Golf cart rental for travel to the beach and local restaurants made getting around easy. Certainly a stay we would gladly repeat.

Destin Spring Break

Check in was very simple and the house was in a great location! Our entire party enjoyed the trip. The house did have some small issues but nothing major and the hosts responded very quickly and promptly. Overall it was a great trip and would definitely stay here again!
