The condo was very clean upon arrival and the location is great. At night the living room and kitchen were full of roaches. This made the stay very unpleasant. I would not stay here again.

The condo/ Apartment is located right on the beach which was amazing! It is very nicely decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We had a couple of issues that were successfully addressed by Vacasa. We would rent from Vacasa again.

Our stay was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. The unit had a severe roach infestation. Roaches were visible during the daytime and crawling on our luggage, which was alarming and unsanitary. This was not a minor issue or an isolated sighting, it was ongoing throughout our stay and made the unit feel unsafe and uninhabitable. We were unable to relax or feel comfortable, and we worried about bringing pests home with us. Cleanliness and basic pest control are non-negotiable, especially for a paid rental. Unfortunately, this property did not meet even minimal standards. I would strongly caution future guests.

The bedroom was the most comfortable and cozy area. However, the portable air conditioner was faulty, as it continued to blow hot air when cool air was required. In the bunk bed area, there was poor air circulation; adding a fan in that space would greatly improve ventilation. Overall, the stay was satisfying.

View of the beach from the kitchen was fantastic! View from the balcony was fabulous. Disappointed that the kitchen didn’t have a potato peeler, cutting boards or enough wine glasses (only had 3). My sisters and I brought my mom for her 90th birthday. She had difficulties getting across the 6” ledge that was the threshold to balcony door. 6” high and 12” wide. Did not see that coming. The condo had walk-in shower and handicap bars but never thought to inquire about getting to the balcony. Will definitely go again. The condo was beautiful and the 3rd floor was ideal.

The property is a bit aged but furnishings are updated. We saw a few roaches the first night and morning but the view at sunrise made up for it. We knew ahead of time they didn’t provide beach towels so we bought some after we flew in. We were shocked they didn’t provide soap to wash your hands. The welcome package provided a tiny dishsoap, 1 single load laundry detergent and two loads for dishwasher. The tub shower did have hanging shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I recommend adding a soap at the bathroom sinks and at least 1 set up for coffee. We would stay here again as the customer service and ease of the place was great!

Wasn’t a fan of a 4 pm checkin and 10 am check out and the rules were strict. But the place was right on the beach. Can’t complain about that.

This wonderful place right on the gulf was just perfect for our weekend get away. Right by the pool, but heard nothing. Sat on the terrace the whole time, weren't even bothered by the showers. If i could buy this place, I would!! Highly recommend!

Miserable experience with Vacasa

When we arrived at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, and entered the unit, it was very hot and uncomfortable. The thermostat did not work at all … nothing appeared on the thermostat display.We ended up having to spend more money the stay in a hotel Thursday and Friday nights, it was so hot in this unit.And I tried to resolve the issue. Over two days, I texted 7 times with no resolution. I also called on Friday morning, and someone said they would let the local property manager know.Only because I got lucky and saw a person leaving a vehicle marked Vacasa in the parking lot later Friday morning did we get some resolution. This Vacasa employee had no idea the air conditioning did not work so he called his supervisor. The supervisor asked “Is A1 our unit?” Clearly, Vacasa needs to work on everyone’s communication skills.A couple of hours later an AC repairman came to fix the air conditioning and said that the AC in the two units above us was not working either. The repairman also said that he was on the property Friday night and would have fixed our AC if he had been aware of the issue.The unit was still too warm to sleep in on Friday night.I cannot in good conscious recommend using Vacasa ever again. While I was able to reach someone by text and by phone, they simply said they’d pass along the message … and then we heard nothing.Other issues: ants in the bathroom, and one of the toilets was unusable because the toilet bowl would not refill.

I’m not someone who ever writes reviews, never complains about hotels, but this location was bad enough that I needed to share it. I want to start off by saying the staff was friendly, accommodating, and understanding of our situation. My girlfriend and I booked this location based on the photos, and I just want to stress that they do not match the actual rooms at all.

Relaxing stay on the Beach

We have never been to Destin and this beach is outstanding! The condo was clean although I was a bit unsure about possible cockroaches never saw one! It is a little outdated but the bed was comfortable shower gel was empty, It had a musty smell but I happened to have a room spray, may be from the old carpet in the bedroom.

Trip With Friend

A great 4 days in Destin, with perfect weather and great ocean views from our patio. I’ve stayed here twice. It’s always so clean and well appointed. No surprises, all that we needed, close to Publix and shopping. Can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

Exactly what Was Needed

Unit smelled spectacularly clean as front door opened, care taken even in utensils in kitchen drawers, had all we needed, comfy couches, bed, and patio furniture overlooking the reason we come!

Perfect location

We loved the location. It was close to everything in the community, the beach access was wonderful, the view was great, pool was outside the door and it was quiet at night. The beds were comfortable too! The door could probably use a new latch, it seemed a little loose. We would definitely stay again!

Great Location!!

Everything was great !! The villa was perfect and being able to walk out the sliding glass doors to the beach made is exceptional! Close to store and restaurants. Villa itself had everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be back-just hope there is availability!

DO NOT rent Crystal Villas A01.....Cockroach infested kitchen.

Looks of listing and firt impression....were amazing. But if you stay you have to also be okay with staying in a Cockroach infested kitchen. DO NOT rent Crystal Villas A01!!!

Cleanliness was bad and no security features

Upon arrival the code instructions did not say you must enter # before entering the code. Also noone is at the Villas to be able to ask a question for help. Once we got into the villa the cleanliness was horrible, the kitchen table had not been clean still had dried food, milk on it, the shower curtain had mold and stains on the bottom of it, there was a outlet that wasn't even attached to the wall so had a hole exposed and the back sliding door to the ocean was unlocked. Absolutely no inside security door features on the front door especially for little ones. My 3 yr old could just walk to the door and open it. The pillow cases had stains and what looked like makeup smear on some. Luckily we took our own pillows. The listing pictures are deceiving as this place had alot more wear and tear. They did come and replace the shower curtain and our private beach wrist bands after 2 days. The best part would be that you can walk out the back door straight to the beach which if you can find another location with same feature I would recommend that. Really disappointed for what we paid will search for another location next time.
