Great Property

Great property! Excellent wrap around balcony for amazing oceanfront views. Inside is beautiful, great furniture for relaxing and dining room table for family dining. Only complaint was construction on balcony during stay. One day workers were on the balcony sanding and one day woken up at 7:30 to workers one floor above. Would definitely go back once construction is done.

Great location except for the construction.

Positives: nice clean unit and beatiful beach The unit was very nice, beaches were not too crowded and very enjoyable. The interior had nice furniture and plenty of dishware and cooking utensils. The master bathroom and bedroom area was fantastic for the kids. Decoration is very well done, left a cozy feeling with a fresh beach style. Overall very enjoyable unit. Negatives: construction and balcony The ongoing construction which admittedly I missed in the listing, was more intrusive than I would have expected. The balcony is still unfinished, and all of the outdoor furniture was inside with a note saying the deck was closed. we were intended to move the furniture out then back in each time we used it. This was a huge drawback for me since the balcony is the main reason I wanted this unit. The construction itself was also pretty rough, around 7-8AM during 2-3 of our 6 nights stay they started using jackhammers to replace the plaster directly above and below is, and it was very loud. It went on nearly until dinner time on 2 of the days. 1 of the days they spent at least 4 hours jackhammering directly on our balcony. I understand fully that this was from storm damage and is not the responsibility of the host, but if I was at least aware of how intrusive it would be I would have chosen a different location. The cost was quite high for a week in a construction site, even if the unit was very nice.

Best Vacation Destination Stay

I come to Daytona every Fourth of July week. I will choose this location again and again. What they do not tell you in the listing is all of the extras that they do for their guest, such as two rollaway cots,a closet full of board games. Extra pillows and linens, a pack and play, a highchair. And children’s books galore. The kitchen was amazing, there was also infant cups plates, and silverware . We never ran out of trash bags, dish soap and paper towels. They even provided laundry soap, as if all of that was not amazing enough we did not need to bring our own beach towels, beach chairs, or beach toys as this unit had those as well. It was definitely a first class experience all the way around this location is in the middle of Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach so we were able to see fireworks from both locations without leaving the property. The pool is extremely clean and was never over packed. access to the beach was very convenient. There are also plenty of beach wagons for you to use to bring your things in and out of the rooms as well as to the pool and back. Other than food there was no reason to leave. It was definitely a first class experience and the best vacation that we have had in a very long time.

Beautiful condo

We had an amazing stay at horizons 1801 The condo was beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. We had an issue with the WiFi that was promptly taken care of by the owner who was very friendly and so easy to talk to. The beach was wonderful as well. We had a great week at Daytona beach Would definitely stay here again

Construction and Power Outages

While we were aware of the ongoing construction at booking, the inconvenience far exceeded our expectations. The fact that our floor was the site of the construction during our entire stay was frustrating. The incessant jackhammering from 8a.m. to 4p.m. made it impossible for us to enjoy our accommodations, and the balcony was unavailable due to the construction despite the beautiful view. We encountered several other issues: The requirement to wash towels before check-out was unexpected and inconvenient and no carts were in the parking area to take luggage up to the 18th floor from the car. The soap and shampoo shelves mounted on the shower wall went crashing to the floor in the middle of the night, it was disruptive and potentially dangerous. An issue occurred on the second-to-last night of our stay when there was a power outage at approximately 1a.m. Despite the maintenance department being aware of the outage, the elevators remained out of service until almost 7a.m. This resulted in a distressing situation where my son, his wife, their 8-week-old baby and my other son were forced to walk up and down 18 floors with all the their luggage and a stroller in the early hours of the morning. As a result, they missed their flight, leading to a 12-hour delay at the airport before finally making it home. Given the severity of this situation & impact we requested monetary compensation from the property manager. Our request was denied, adding to our frustration and disappointment.

Daytona Getaway

We enjoyed the proximity of the condo for walking distance to everything, from groceries to entertainment. Walking the beach was awesome right out the door. We were impressed with how fast the elevators were even when there were a lot of guests for “bike week.” Management was great. The microwave quit working the first full day we were there and they had a new one installed within 3 days. It was great having the washer and dryer right in our condo. Beautiful views for sunrise and sunset.

Rolex 24 Weekend/Beach

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at this property. The beds were very comfortable and it was convenient having the washer and dryer in our personal unit. The kitchen had all supplies we needed. We arrived at 9:40 pm day of check in. The property manager had difficulty remotely opening the front door. May need to streamline this process. The TV system was frustrating to activate at first. The coffee maker had grounds left in the drip chamber and attracted mold. The dryer vent needs to be serviced as dryer times were very long. Master bathroom toilet tank leaks. Pots and pans were in need of heavy scrubbing prior to use. The beach views from the terrace were amazing and the location convenient to the Speedway and favorite restaurants in the area.

We stayed here for Christmas and had an amazing time, owners were accommodating for our early arrival. Not quite as clean as it could have been but overall a very beautiful condo with an amazing view, would def rent again.

Misrepresented the amount of construction

While the location the unit itself was fairly represented, but even after I asked about the construction, after reading some other reviews that mentioned how offensive it was, I was told that the construction was finished. Not true…. The first morning at 8:00 the jack hammering started and was non-stop until the rain in the afternoon ran the workers off the building. Each work day was like this. I contacted the owner with a recording of the noise, and their comment was “the ad stated there was construction in the area”. We had invited two of family’s to join us on the trip…. We have never been so ashamed, to put friends in this situation. Patches all over the building, scaffolding hanging from the balcony, no flooring in the entry hallway, I could go on, but the fact is this unit should have never been listed as “available”.

Daytona Dance Nationals

Overall this is a great property and we enjoyed our stay. Our daughter was competing in a dance competition at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort just up A1A and the location was very convenient. The condo has a lot of thoughtful amenities and was exceptionally clean when we arrived. It also had plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out. Everything was in working order and we loved cooking in the large and open kitchen. The building is obviously undergoing extensive renovation from storm damage but we barely noticed the noise and it did not affect our stay in any way. Our only suggestions would be to add an ice maker and some window coverings in the master bedroom and living room. While the sweeping views of the ocean are incredible, it always felt a good 10 degrees warmer in both rooms compared to the rest of the condo from the sun coming in. It was also extremely bright by 7am every morning. Aside from that, we would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

Condo was very nice. When an issue arose, the owner responded quickly. The management contacted me the next day. The construction on the building continues. The workers are nice and waved to the kids through the window. The family enjoyed spending time on the beach and in the pool. The condo was a great place to rest our heads during our family vacation.

We enjoyed our stay it is a beautiful place. Location is awesome.

I just wish when I asked about parking prior to checking in I was made aware that the one assigned parking was full of construction supplies. This made parking tricky as there was a lot of construction workers taking up the other spots during the day. Other then that we had a great time. Condo was just as described and they was quick to respond when we had any questions. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful views

Overall the condo was very nice and comfortable but please note that there is significant construction going and it is VERY loud and challenging. The workers are very nice but they start working very early so no sleeping in on vacation and most of the days you really couldn't stay in the condo because the noise was so loud you couldn't even talk to each other. Also, during our time there the assigned parking spot was not available due to construction equipment being stored in it. We did receive permission to use another parking spot but it took a few calls late the first night of our arrival to get that information. Again, the condo was very nice and we made the best of it, but just be aware of the noise because it is not a relaxing environment while they are working. Love to see it when they are done with the work.

Great Condo. Building is a work in progress

The condo is great. No complaints at all about the unit. It is important to note that not only are there building improvements going on, there is storm damage to many buildings along the beach. Currently there is no beach access directly from the building. You have to walk a very short walk north and enter the beach. During our week stay most morning the workers starting drilling at 8am. Some days it didn't last long, others it lasted most of the day. Obviously, the owner of the condo has no control over the improvements or storm damage, so I am not letting that affect my rating. This will be a great place to go after repairs and construction are completed.

We will be back!

6 of us stayed here for bike week 2023 and really enjoyed the condo and location! My friends called the master suite my "princess castle" all week due to the huge set up and luxurious feel. The condo has plenty of linens including beach towels and dishes. The living room furniture had super comfortable electric reclining couches. The ocean view is spectacular from this 18th floor unit. I had lots of parking questions and Valerie was able to help. I also left something at the condo and Valerie shipped it to me! There was some construction going on to the outside of the condo but that was clearly noted. Overall amazing experience!

Worst experience thus far

Poor communication with owner. She should of disclosed to us the building was undergoing construction. We were awaken by the sound of jackhammering right above our heads. So loud we couldn’t hear each other talking. What’s worse, no blinds in bedroom window above bed and in living room. We looked up from our bed in the morning to the faces of construction workers. No access to beach (due to hurricane damage) which I understand but this should have been disclosed before checking in. Three days in, we still didn’t have a parking spot due to construction materials stored in all the parking spots assigned to us. The owner has yet to respond to our email about the early morning jackhammering wake up call
