We had a wonderful stay. The service was excellent, always very accommodating to our needs. We needed earlier breakfast and they made it happen. They were courteous and hospitable. They stored our luggage while we went around town after checking out. Breakfast was very good and very prompt.

The place was great, the staff where super friendly and helpful, they explained everything that I needed to know. There was even a guide with local eateries and activities that they recommend in the area.

Die Unterkunft war sehr charmant. Wir haben uns von Anfang bis Ende sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Super Lage um die Gegend zu erkunden. Jederzeit wieder.

The property was excellent. The staff was extremely helpful at every turn. My wife and I would happily stay here again without hesitation. It would be a great place to book with a few couples for a cozy spot near nightlife.

I like a comfortable, friendly place to stay in Cape Town before I rent an apartment for the rest of my stay. This was well located, not too close to the Waterfront busy area but not too far away.

Sehr freundliches Personal, tolle Zimmer und moderne Bäder. Individuelles leckeres Frühstück. Die Waterfront ist fußläufig erreichbar und bietet vielfältige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Märkte zum shoppen (vor allem am Wochenende). Diese Unterkunft kann ich jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

Lovely Boutique Hotel!

What a lovely boutique hotel in Cape Town! We loved the style of the room, the delicious breakfast and the friendly service. We were on the first floor and were able to hear people moving around upstairs, so I would request an upstairs room if I were staying again.

Disappointing

Not the greatest experience. The room we were given was basic and not at all like the photos. The staff literally just go through the motions. There is no effort in customer service. The breakfast was…ok.

Très bon choix. Maison centenaire magnifique avec toutes les commodités de la modernité. Un petit moins pour le bruit tôt le matin par les autres occupants qui oublient que d'autres dorment encore. À venir sans hésitation!

My sister and I stayed at Harpers House for 4 nights during our 2 weeks in South Africa. We had a top floor room and have no complaints about the room. it was spacious and had everything we needed. As others wrote, it can be a bit noisy (doors shut loudly and floors can be creaky), but there are only a handful of rooms, so it more or less is first thing in the morning and not super late at night. Breakfast was lovely and you have a choice of being outside or inside. We took advantage of the nice weather and had a bottle of wine outside at night, one evening. The location was good for us and we took advantage of the grocery store next store. We ubered everywhere, and didn't stick around the area we were in, since we had plans for our entire 4 days, but I definitely felt safe and the security of getting in and out of the property, was good. We also asked HH to help is with a Driver to pick us up from the airport, as well as to recommend a half day tour guide for Boulders beach and they set us up with great drivers/tour guides. We also took advantage of their sister property, Gorgeous George, for dinner and drinks our first night. That was very fun. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it. My only con, which I shared with the hotel, is they had a candle wax burning on the first floor that was SO STRONG that was bothersome. You won't regret staying at this small boutique hotel.

Best House in Green Point!!

It was a wonderful stay in Harpers House, nice small pool, very nice rooms, well prepared breakfast, and friendly staff. Thanks for hosting us, we will come back.

Nice Building, Location & Staff

The staff are really nice with the decoration and the builiding itself makes us feel very comfortable even for just one night. The staff always has some cool tips for our stay in Cape Town.

Enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay at Harper's House very much. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the room was very comfortable. Harper's House is in a quiet street, but very close to a variety of restaurants and the waterfront, so very convenient for sightseeing.
