Thanks to the owners for saving our vacation here.
For the price we paid for this rental for one week, which included a 3% credit card fee and electricity charges, we expected a five star experience. However, while the owners were attentive, the property management company was less attentive to the property than they should be.
Upon our arrival the pool was green. It was thick with algae and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in some time. As we were moving in the neighbor next door came over to greet us and said that the property isn’t well cared for and that the pool had been green for some time.
We called the property management company and it went to voicemail. I got a text back asking me to text the issue and did so. I was advised someone would be out the next day to correct the problem.
I contacted the property owner who was responsive and apologetic.
The next day the pool was treated, but it took an additional day before it was swimable. The pool water wasn’t completely clear until we left a week later.
The condition of the interior of the home was immaculate. The interior was tastefully decorated and spacious, it did not disappoint and was as advertised - if not more beautiful in person. If it wasn’t for the issues with the most important feature of the home for us, the pool, this would have been a slam dunk full five stars across the board. Given the fact that even at the departure, the property management company never showed, we weren’t impressed with their attention to taking care of this property.
Kudos to the owner, Marion, who credited us the electrical charges (since the pool filter had to be run more than usual to clear up the issue) and waived the 3% credit card fee for the inconvenience. Thank you!
