"Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat is a hidden sanctuary. We hit the jackpot when we were searching for accommodation in the area to attend a wedding. "There are no staff. This is a self-serve property. It works quite well. But the walls are incredibly thin. A person talked - not shouting or fighting, just talking - for 3 hours non-stop in the room next to us (finally stopping at 2am) and I could hear every word. The person in the room on our other side thought it was us (so could hear it 2 rooms away!) and was kicking the walls until I shouted that it was another room. Onsite staff would be useful in a case like that."

"Spacious cabin.Bur the Gas had run out so we had No Hot water or able to use the stove top.Very disappointing considering we had paid $248.50 for the night.The caretaker really didn't care.His response was its out of our control when the gas runs out.No offer for any compensation.."
