Filthy run down house

This house smelled so bad at check in, we had to go buy air fresheners just so we could stay. Filthy inside and out. From hair filled and urine stained linens to baseboards so nasty, they look like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. Most furniture broken down, food between cushions, filthy fabric. Dirty dishes in cabinets. Holes in walls. Grimy fingerprints everywhere. It was disgusting. A few attempted upgrades, but workmanship was very sloppy. Very few level floors throughout the house. Doors fly open or won’t stay closed because of the unlevel floors. This was totally not the “Elegant” property this listing describes. We were offered the “cleaning fee” back as a refund, but that’s not enough. We feel duped by a misleading listing. Hopefully VRBO will assist with making this right, since Vacasa, the management company refuses to.

Great house for our vacation

We just stayed the week here. It was perfect for our family of 9. The kids enjoyed the pool in the mornings & some evenings after getting back from beach. The house is in a good location to drive to all of the different beaches in the area. We visited 6 different beaches during our week there. It was a quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean & decorated nicely when we arrived. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was suitable for all that we needed for cooking meals throughout the week. We would definitely stay here again. There were some ants in the master bathroom on the last day we were there but that's to be expected in this area & we didn't feel that it was due to lack of attention by the rental company. There is not a water slide at the pool but we knew that ahead of time from reading the other reviews.

It was good

Enjoyed the home..only real issue was the tv and internet it was going in and out constantly..gate to the yard was broken…but nevertheless we enjoyed the stay and would return..thanks for letting myself and the family stay at your property!

Nice property and amenties. Clean. Poor response from property manager, several maintenance issues, supplies as well as cold pool and poor wifi function made stay much less than optimal.

Great Time!

The house was very spacious. The kids played in the pool for hours. The neighborhood is very nice and you’re just a short drive from Anna Maria Island.

Review is regular

We had a bad experience with the air conditioner on 83-84 for the whole weekend. Finally the tech came Monday morning and fixed, after 48 hrs hot. The rest of the experience was great. My recommendation is that please make sure the air conditioner work properly before the gest come in. It Is sad to had that black point in a great vacation experience.

Family vacation

Was a nice relaxing vacation for the family. Enjoyed the pool. Would liked to have been a little closer to the beach but otherwise good. Could not really utilize the game room as it was just too hot.

Great Property, Disappointing Management

The house and location was great, for the most part. Fit our needs and the pool was great. There was no hot water in the house for the first 3 days. All the hot water valves were turned off and even after turning them back on the master side of the house and kitchen had no hot water. We contacted vacasa on multiple occasions and it took them 3 days to delegate the issue to the local manager. He said he would send someone out (mind you this is Thursday, we leave on Saturday) to fix the issue. They never showed up and the hot water was never fixed. This house has great potential. Just needs a better management company. We will not be staying in a Vacasa rental anymore.

Great family getaway

Our 2 families of 9 enjoyed the pool every day. Quiet neighborhood, close to the beach. House was spacious enough for everyone! Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place to stay

The home was a very nice place to stay. The kitchen was wonderful, had everything we needed to make meals, and with the kitchen table and family room right there, everyone was able to mingle and hang out together. We met both of the neighbors on each side, and they are wonderful people. There were a few minor things with the home that did not affect enjoying our stay there (paper towel holder missing a nut, undercounted lights taped up and fell lying on the counter, trash can pull out did not work properly), and we reported them to Vacasa. All of the linens were provided and there were plenty of towels. Extra large washer and dryer, tho they ask you to start the laundry before you leave, yet did not provide detergent or dryer sheets. They did provide trash bags for the kitchen as well as dishwasher, dish and hand soaps at the sinks which was nice! The home is very clean. There was a snafu with the pool for a few days. The pump had something falter and it started draining the pool. While Vacasa was responsive initially, the pool guy did not communicate, and we had no idea what was going on. Granted, we were there over the 4th of July, and people are trying to enjoy time with their families, but communication could have been better. In addition, when going to the beaches on Anna Maria Island, BEWARE that they do not like out of town guests. If you read their county ordnances, it's stated clearly. We parked on a beach access and were not aware that it has the same rules as the main roads, parallel parking with right tires against the curb (even if there isn't one). We received a $75 ticket, and a $4.50 service fee for paying on-line. Now, we were driving a large Chevy Suburban, and thought it safest to face the road in the parallel parking, as to not back out into the road, and the vehicle too large to park perpendicular, or turn around when the lot is full. You get one appeal, and it doesn't matter your reason for anything, they want you to pay on-line. We parked on the same beach access road at 33rd street, for 3 days straight, and they ticketed us Friday, when they knew we were out of town (rental car), and wouldn't be able to spend time going to the courthouse to fight the ticket. Parking at the main beach access lot as you come into the beach is a madhouse, we preferred to park further down where it is less crowded. The beaches are AMAZING!!! But please be careful where/how you park, and leave the beach as you found it

Great location and pool, hot water was an issue

We loved the location and how close we were to the beach. The pool was huge and we loved the patio setup for the kids, especially the baby gate. The lights didn’t work on the pool for night swims, and when we contacted the property manager we did not have that resolved. Also, there was no hot water in the kitchen sink or in the master sinks. When we brought this up to the manager, they told us they would send somebody out but they never did. The game room was awesome for the kids and adults. I wish there had been more TVs in the house as there was only one, but we made it work. The kitchen was nice but there were a lot of ants and beetles. The kids loved the bunk beds and the master bed was very comfortable. I hope they get the water heater situation resolved as it appears to only work on one side of the house at a time, which is very inconvenient when you have 9 people staying in a house with only two bathrooms. Overall, the house served its purpose and we had a great vacation.

This house and the area was perfect for everything we needed. The house was fully furnished with all you need , plenty of places to sleep and the pool and game room was amazing for the kids !! The only thing that wasn’t accurate was the pool slide it is no longer there, kids were bummed.. This was an amazing stay!!Thanks again!!

Amazing

The house was very clean, bright and spacious. The whole family, including kids and a teenager enjoyed the stay. Kids loved swimming in the pool and playing games in the garage. The only thing I was surprised when I saw a stranger in the pool. Found out that the pool maintenance person comes every Tuesday and Friday.

Clean & Spacious

This is a great house! Had everything we needed and more. Easy check in and check out. The house is spacious and clean. Close to the beaches, stores, and to travel to back and forth to a soccer tournament. Kids enjoyed the pool and game room. Definitely would rent again!
