"We greatly enjoyed the house and close proximity to Bear Valley Ski Resort. We have young kids so we needed a close place in the event we had meltdowns at the slopes and needed to go back early. This was perfect. Lots of space and outdoor areas to explore far enough away from the highway. It's a short hike up to the house but just reframe as a workout and it does the trick. We'll definitely stay here again."

Our host Sheila gave very thorough instructions and replied to my messages in a quick, timely manner. The town home was very cozy, organized and gave our family enough space for privacy and our own time as the bottom level had its own entrance to the outside porch, set of stairs and a door to close off to the main living...

"Everything was great except the lock on the front door was extremely difficult. On the second and third days we decided to leave the door unlocked, fearing if we were able to get it locked we would probably be locked out when we returned. When we left for good on the fourth day we were unable to lock the door so left the properly unlocked."

"The property truly does not have any Wi-Fi or cell service. That was not a dealbreaker for me, but for entertainment, you are limited to the DVD collection that the owner has which is very large. The loft was huge and it served as a nice place for my son to play his video games. There is a beautiful view of the lake. It was very close to the snow and very cozy. Everything was clean. What I liked the most about the owner is that the place is stocked with firewood, and there was even firestarter...

"Beautiful cozy home. We awoke to a blanket of snow....magical. Great location for a quick drive to skiing at Bear Valley. And an easy drive the other direction for a day in Murphys. I was concerned on arrival about the temperature in the home. But quickly warmed up with wall heaters and cozy wood-burning stove. Thank you, Marta! "
