The Bonita Rita in Bonita Springs, Florida, was a spacious, comfortable place to hold our entire family while visiting FL for grandma‘s 90th birthday! Everything was in working order except for the pool heater. We arrived Wednesday, and I had called Sunday to pay the fee for the pool and was told that it should be ready by Wednesday, and it was not. Yes, there were exceptional cooling trends in the weather, but I came from a place where there are negative degree temperatures out and our hot tub remains heated at 104, so if a product is being offered, the product should be delivered. And the kitchen was nice and fully stocked with plenty of dishware and flatware, the refrigerator was nice and clean and an adequate size for our party of 10 adults and five infants. The dishwasher worked well. The washing machine worked well, but the dryer took hours for anything to dry, which is pretty normal in a humid state like Florida. Working with the VACASA representative was not ideal. She did not have a sense of urgency nor did she take responsibility for the pool. Although Mandy was disappointing, all the other people we worked with were professional. Since it was raining some of the days, the garage filled with toys and with a ping-pong table really helped pass the time and promoted family fun for sure! When the hot water was not working in the upstairs bathroom, that was mentioned on a Friday, and then it was taken care of the next day by a very helpful technician. All in all good.
