We were in for our son’s wedding, and Sanderling was a perfect fit! The house was set up for comfort and the layout was perfect for our group. The beds were comfortable and beach access was close. Thanks for a great weekend!

Perfect from the moment we opened the door. The house was perfect for our yearly gathering. Four adults and a lively five year old. The house felt very luxurious while still being so cozy and comfortable. Wonderful views to enjoy while you drink coffee in the morning and a quick walk to the beach. We will definitely be back next summer (or sooner for a stormy winter experience!) Thank you for the beautiful setting for this years memories.

House was beautiful and had a ton of great things like nice pots and pans, dishes, stereo, TV, etc. rooms were comfortable and bathrooms great. Only suggestions would be a table that seats 6 since you can have 6 there and a variety of pillows that aren’t so thick. Really enjoyed our stay.

High end property with great views and high end furnishings. Some maintenance needed - burnt out light bulbs, mirrors and windows streaky, window arms rusted so had to remove screens to close windows. Front door a bit wonky to open.

Beautiful ocean view. Spacious and comfortable. Central to all activities in Westport, Grayland & Tokeland. The 10 am check out is a bit early & it would have been nice to have more than 1 key to the house for everyone to share. Otherwise, excellent property in a fantastic location.

This house is wonderful, well appointed for family gatherings and just like the photos. We did have movie nights lessened by poor internet speed and overly complex and sometimes randomly failing audio, and we have two efforts to reach out to the owner ignored. I’d still stay there.

If you're looking for a quiet place to relax away from the big city, even the larger seasonal coastal towns, Westport is it. Westport is small with not much to do but also full of history which can be explored 'downtown'. The house is right on the beach with spectacular views and offers just about every amenity you could ask for. Highly recommended for a couple or even a couples retreat.

The property was as advertised. However, we found it impossible to regulate the temperature in the house. It was way too hot. The thermostats almost always read 75 to 84 degrees and they were accurate - we were sweating!! We tried adjusting the temperature at the thermostat, but they were either too complicated to figure out OR, they were malfunctioning (we believe the latter was the case). We had to leave windows on the second level opened partially. On the lower level it was MORE of a problem, especially at night. We do not leave any ground floor windows open at night due to security concerns. This meant we had to sleep upstairs were it was cooler because we were comfortable with leaving upper level windows open at night. A lesser problem was with one of the showers on the first level. It had little to no water pressure because the diverter valve was only partially functional. When the water flow was directed (diverted) to the shower head, there was still more water flowing from the tub spout than from the shower head. Frustrating! Short of these two significant problems, the house was great!

Nice amenities! Beach was short walk and perfect. Nice deck to sit and watch the sun set. House is high end and comfortable. Kitchen has all you need. One shower not working. No beach towels.

I had read the reviews and was unsure how I'd feel until we got there because of the variant in feedback. 1. The house is beautiful, extremely clean (and we've done a few covid-timeframe rentals), furniture is in excellent condition, house is well stocked with kitchen supplies, bathroom towels, etc. Do bring extra paper towel and dish washer pods if needed. Front door lock is a little tricky but that is explained in the check-in directions. 2. The house is very warm with the radiant heating. 3. The grill does not work, the knobs are corroded and broken. 4. The carpets were all very clean and I did not see the wear mentioned in the reviews. 5. Three full bathrooms is a bonus and each room is lovely. 6. The king tides recently washed away all immediate access to the beach out front so be prepared to drive 5 minutes to the park for beach access until that is repaired. 7. The view is great and allows for ocean viewing from the living room and master bedroom. 8. We had zero millipedes in the house (perhaps they are seasonal) This was one of our favorite beach houses!

We really enjoyed staying at this house. It is huge and lovely! Each bedroom is its own suite, complete with full bathroom, tv, and luxurious bedding. With two preteens, we were able to each find our own space to enjoy! The main living room and kitchen are beautiful, and we spent the majority of our time looking at the ocean and relaxing. It is unfortunate how the houses in the neighborhood are staggered though-much of the view is blocked by roof lines. While sitting on the balcony you have to look south or north to see the ocean around the house in front. For the price, it would have nice to have unobstructed views. There is, however, a lovely walk to the beach, right in front of the house. We loved our daily walks, and the beach is amazing! The house was really clean, with the only exception being the carpet on the stairs (which is the first impression) being really gross. I'm not sure who thought carpet in a beach house would be a good idea. The other issue we had was with millipedes. Icky! We found about a dozen in the house over the course of the weekend, and many more outside on the porch and garage. They are nasty! And the weird thing is, they just appear. You'll walk into a room and spot one that wasn't there moment before. How do they get in? I usually don't mind bugs, but I didn't love the millipedes. We also found a lot of the appliances and lights in the house to be faulty. The light bulbs we were able to fix, mostly, although some lamps were missing bulbs entirely. The microwave was a challenge to figure out how to run, and the dishwasher didn't work at all and we had to hand wash everything. That was a huge bummer. Lastly, the communication with the property management company was terrible. When I was trying to book they responded to my question right away, but once I had paid they wouldn't respond to my emails. I asked three times about checkout, and finally had to call to get a hold of a representative. Also, the information binder in the house has outdated information, including a different checkout time than the representative on the phone told me. All in all, we had a great weekend at the beach and really loved this house. For the price, there are definitely some things that could have been better.

We got what we were after...views, steps from the beach, and dog friendly. The renting agency Vacasa had it very clean and nice for our arrival. The house itself is gorgeous, but is starting to show wear from renting (technology unreliable, light bulbs out, stained carpeting, no garage door opener) Would probably return as a share with 3 couples would be very comfortable.

The home is gorgeous, with wonderful views on a quiet expanse of beach. But the upkeep is surprisingly lacking. There are multiple light bulbs out throughout the house. One of the bathrooms had no working bulbs over the sink, so we had to take one from a kitchen fixture to have at least some light over the sink. The washer & dryer are tiny for such a large house. Also, those who are bug-phobic should be aware that there quite a few small millipedes in the lower level. Lovely house in a great location but needs more attention to interior upkeep.
