Cozy Stay!

Had a great time in this cozy apartment! Perfect stay for a couple and conveniently located near the red line of the metro. Advertised a washer but didn’t have one, and missed having a larger fridge/freezer, but would be great for those who know they’ll be doing takeout/eating out every meal. Communication with the host was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Property... Questionable Neighborhood... Frustrating Management Company

The property is beautiful- perfect for 2 people. The mini kitchen works and the bathroom is perfect. The pictures accurately captured the space! The description of the neighbor is inaccurate. The neighborhood seems far from the stated description. The neighborhood had 2 Italian pizza places in walking distance and the Franciscan Monastery is 11 blocks away from the property. On the way to the Metro stop you pass a Court/Parole service office. Not a walkable neighborhood as suggested by the description. The management company was frustrating to work with. It seemed the 3 people who work in the company do not talk to each other. A few days before my arrival I needed to complete a form requiring me to upload my ID. A day before I began my travel I received a text requesting a picture of my credit card before I could receive access to the property. I texted the photo. As I was driving to the property I still didn't get access information. I emailed and received a reply stating that I didn't submit a picture of my credit card. I called and the management company said I didn't submit a picture of my credit card. It was very frustrating to be driving to DC and working with the management company. I'd avoid this management company in the future! Beautiful place and off-street parking. The neighborhood is not walkable and very few restaurants. The management company was hard to work with and added stress to my vacation.

Cozy and quiet (just make sure you understand the window blinds)

I loved this property. 1st night I struggled with the window blinds -- I was tired from my work and journey through the 102 heat and I didn't notice they had two settings -- transparent (down) and blocked-light (up)-- so... sleep eluded me due to brightness. But honestly, that's on me -- every amenity and feature was provided.Thank you so much for providing refuge to this weary traveler!

Great place to stay

We had a great stay here. Parking in the back was very convenient. We took the metro everywhere and it was a breeze and a very short walk from the VRBO.

Cozy digs

Cute spot with everything you need! Perfect place for a long weekend. Close to restaurants and a short walk to the Metro. Eco-responsible practices although some difficulty accessing the app/website to control the heat. A space heater was handy in a pinch. Having a microwave would have been a bit less fussy for reheating food. We would stay again!

Brookland’s Little Nest

This properly was ideal for us in that we basically needed a place for sleeping and winding down after our daily activities. Preparing meals would be more problematic as there is no microwave but does have a toaster oven. There are numerous food establishments in the neighborhood. We would definitely consider it again in the future.

Lovely apartment in suburban area.

Really nice purpose built apartment attached to a home in a quiet street. Decor and furnishings are lovely. The location was convenient for me. Only grumble is that you need a USA pay tv package to work the tv, which is not realistic for me as I don't live in USA. And a microwave oven would have been helpful. There is a multi-function mini oven which is sweet but not very practical for quick meal prep in small space. It is close to grocery stores and public transport.
