Windfall Cottage

The cottage, situated in the lovely village of Beckford, lived up to all our expectations from the description. Spacious, with well equipped kitchen and touch of luxury in the bathrooms/bedrooms. Absolutely lovely views particularly from the lounge looking out over the orchard. The weather was gorgeous when we were there so we were able to take advantage of the outside space and soon became acquainted with the chickens and ducks! The deer with the baby rabbits were great fun to watch in the distance as well. We were a family of 4 adults and had loads of space to spread out and have our own space. Lovely lovely cottage and definitely will be going back. Huge thank you to Teresa and Keith our hosts who left a lovely welcome pack and checked in on us. We will be back xx

Windfall Cottage Beckford

Excellent location for exploring the surrounding Cotswolds. Three retired couples spent a week here and had a really good time. Would suggest the third bedroom is more suitable for two children than adults. TV/Cinema room appears to be a new addition and is a great space. Many thanks.

Lovely large country house

We spent Christmas week here with some extended family. The house was large and nicely laid out. Everyone enjoyed getting to grips with the Aga and how lovely and warm it was. The chickens, ducks & geese were a real highlight! The house was warm, fully equipped and the bedding very nice. The owners are very kind and left us some nice treats. The TV in the main lounge area is newer and larger than the one in the photos so that was a nice surprise. A suggestion would be to add a wifi booster (you can get them fairly cheaply and just plug them in), that way the wifi signal would be strong enough for the rest of the house and also the lounge where the new smart TV is, making it so people could just sign into their own Netflix accounts etc. Everyone really enjoyed the holiday and the time away. Many thanks for a great stay!

windfall is a beautiful residence, the use of wood makes for a very welcoming and homely stay, keith and teresa, the owners were very helpful when enquiries were made. a very happy holiday for all our family.

Clean and bright with some interesting features

Lovely property, six adults and a baby enjoyed their time at WINDFALL Cottage. The weather was superb which meant we could use the BBQ, in fact we ate outside everyday. The one drawback was the bedrooms became very hot with no way of cooling them down! The roll top baths looked super but taking a shower in one of them was very tricky as it was stand alone in the bedroom - ?water everywhere...... so we all shared the enclosed showers. The chickens and ducks, who lived in the orchard, visited the garden as soon as there was food about! The kitchen was well equipped and the baby/toddler equipment was excellent.

Superb!

Windfall Cottage was all we could hope for and more! Beautifully decorated throughout, the facilities are superb. We loved our stay and found it difficult to take ourselves away from this wonderfully comfortable cottage. The Aga is a delight to use, and the bathrooms were simply stunning. Keith and Teresa could not have been more helpful, and were at hand if you should ever need them. Well situated with pub and shop close by and delightful walking from the doorstep. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer, but now we have a reason to return. If you are reading this review and considering booking Windfall Cottage, all I can say "is book it". This is one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in.

Great house for a family stay!

This gorgeous, fully equipped home is the perfect location in which to explore all that the Cotswolds has to offer!! There is not one amenity that we needed that we didn't have. The home is decorated beautifully. The beds were comfortable, the TV room was perfect and the chickens and ducks were a big hit with my son, and produced some wonderful eggs for our breakfast. The only reason I don't give a full five stars is the proximity to the road. The road that the cottage is off of doesn't seem too busy, but sitting outside or with the bedrooms windows open it is a bit near to the road. Will most definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning, a dream property

The property was immaculate throughout, situated in an ideal location close to all amenities. The cottage was beautiful with lots of surprises (fresh eggs from the chickens next door, homemade cake :) ) We had an 16 month old with us and he was also catered for and loved going to see the chickens next door. Each room had an en-suite which is perfect, and everything was handled well from time of booking right through to arrival with a great welcome pack. Could not fault the house and made a perfect weekend away to celebrate my mums 60th birthday. Thank you x

Immaculate, quaint, well furnished and stocked.

We had our two daughters, their husbands and our 6 month old grandson. The home could not have suited our needs better. It is spacious, well constructed and furnished. The owners have thought of virtually every need and were generous in sharing tips to enhance our visit. The location could not have been any better for exploring the Cotswolds. It was a pleasure to come back to our home base each evening.
