We own a short term rental company in Breckenridge/Summit County area so this is our business.
We arrived for a desperately needed eight night/nine day vacation recovering from cancer and a broken back.
We paid top end price to enjoy this property.
The afternoon of check-in we arrived to major construction on another 4 unit condo (total exterior renovation since May) happening only 20 feet away from the balcony we had hoped to live on, the living room we had hoped to enjoy, and the master bedroom we had hoped to rest and recover in.
We had no advanced warning.
This construction went on for 5 more weekdays from 7 am -6 pm.
Daily we reached out to Vacasa and their canned text reply was "we have let local managers know and we will get back to you".
We NEVER Heard from the local Vacasa managers regarding this issue
Eventually, after daily vlogs sent to Vacasa of the construction noise that was constant hammering, sawing, etc. they said "we are sorry".
As Short Term Rental Hosts ourselves to 1000's of guests annually, would never host anyone without giving them advanced warning with the options of a free cancellation, an upgrade to a different property, or a significant price discount for the inconvenience and exhausting noise that ruined our vacation.
To prospective future guests:
The property is amazing in its location BUT... if you hope to have any needs addressed while you are there, do not count on Vacasa to come through. Read other reviews
