Cozy carriage house in fabulous location

This rental is in the perfect location in a quiet neighborhood —a short 3 min walk to Forsyth Park and only 30 min walk to all the places we wanted to go. And the walks were beautiful as we zigzagged through the squares. A lovely way to experience Savannah.

Savannah Bucket list vacation

Great, quiet area with bars a short Uber ride away. Forsythe Park only a couple blocks away. Only problems with property is the codes To gates needed fixed and only 2 rolls of toilet paper for a 1 week stay. Great communication with property managers!! Would stay again for sure.

We had a great time in Savannah. The location was perfect and everything from check in to check out was very smooth. The carriage house was clean and everything we needed was available. I was impressed with how quiet it was and easy to access. Great rental property and responsive communication. Also, the pool access on Tybee was wonderful!

The apartment was very clean and the bed comfortable. Though we ate meals out, the kitchen had plenty of dishes, cutlery and pans. Nice to have garage space for convenient, safe parking. Note there is a free bus line a few blocks away to get you into downtown if you’d rather not make the ~20 minute walk. Only disappointment was that the outdoor space is shared with those renting the house in front and was taken over for our entire stay by a bachelorette party (which was noisy the first evening).

Excellent stay at Cartiage House

Everything we needed for an enjoyable stay was provided, including an additional set of towels. The location was excellent, close to Forsyth, a cafe and Kroger. It was easy to add a day to our stay, and we had great communication with property managers. The sofa mattress could be improved is my only negative. Thank you!

Comfortable

Entrance gate very hard to open and carriage house path difficult with luggage. We were very disappointed with outdoor area. It had not been maintained very well at all. The fireplace in the courtyard was not clean and ready for use. It would have been nice to have a couple of pieces of wood or know where to purchase some. The building next door was an eye sore to say the least. The ally that we used the most was also a mess. The unit itself was just as advertised and very nice. Bed slept well. Shower was good. We did enjoy our stay overall but the outdoor areas were very disappointing.

Perfect!

This property is perfect for husband and I. It is a cozy well thought out floor plan. Especially loved having a garage to park in and a outdoor area. We love meeting new people so having a shared pool/outdoor area was nice. We look forward to returning to Savannah. Hopefully this property will be available when we do.

New areas to explore

We loved this off the beaten path location as it gave us some new and fun areas of the city to explore! Super close to Forsyth Park and the walk down to River Street was not terrible. It was a bit awkward sharing the courtyard with a bridal party renting the big house but they were nice enough. Also advertised onsite heated pool was not heating properly and only worked for the last day of our stay. Other than that this was a great spot for a great price.

Perfect for Our Last Minute Trip

By the time we decided to visit Savannah at the last minute, long weekend there weren't very many options left close to the historical district, but so glad we gave this one a try. It worked perfectly for us. Great location and walkable to most of what we wanted to see and do. Communication with the management company was very good. The unit was clean and in good condition, with the exception of the garden gate, one of the hinges just broke. Stuff like that happens. Things wear out. It wasn't a big inconvenience for us. The pool was a bonus and we would have liked to use it more than we did. The unit was very quite. Grab some groceries at the nearby Kroger and you're good to go. The one thing I would tell people is that it's much easier to find the unit and figure out getting in during daylight hours. We arrived later than planned so it was a bit of a challenge to find everything. That's on us.

Best customer service!

This unit was just as pictured on the website and the pool was perfect place to cool off after touring around Savannah. The Grocery store was in walking distance and the coffee shop on the corner was a nice perk. I just have to say that everyone at Southern Belle were extremely helpful and followed up with me to make sure my stay was the best that it could be. I will always stay with this company when ever I visit Savannah!!!!

Apartment was comfortable for my daughter and I. About a mile from downtown Savannah, and 30 min from Tybee. Communication w staff was good. There is garage parking for your car which wasn’t clear but a nice bonus. There is a grocery store nearby and a cute bakery/coffee shop. Only a few blocks from Forsyth park. Nice stay

Perfectly adequate

Perfectly adequate this is a nice property in a decent location with all the basics. It was clean well-kept with good linen nice water pressure and a decently equipped kitchen. My only criticisms were the yard was not very clean, the pool essentially unusable, in part due to the season, and the kitchen well-stocked with pots pans etc. did not include coffee which is a fairly standard inclusion in most of the rentals I have been in. Other than that it was a perfectly comfortable safe and clean apartment in a nice neighborhood convenient to shopping the park and most of the downtown area

Great long weekend

My wife my daughter and I stayed for a long weekend. The place is very nice however I believe this apartment is better suited for two people and not three. There is a pull out couch and my daughter slept there which was fine but it’s more suited for two people. We made it work.😀. It’s very close to downtown and easy to get to. The only downside was the fact that it was in February which is still winter time and we could not enjoy the outside patio area, but that is no reflection of the overall visit

Just right

This is the second time staying at the carriage house. It’s such an adorable little place and the location is perfect. The amenities are great. I love this place and will return anytime I’m in Savannah. When trying to check in I had an issue with the codes provided and called the local number listed in the instructions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Any issue I had arise they were more than happy to try and offer a solution.

Great spot, poor communication with management company

To summarize: Bad communication with management company, issue that wasn’t fixed by the end of our stay, very thoroughly cleaned, but definitely some maintenance issues, not too peaceful as you hear every sound from the main house. apartment on the other side of the carriage house, and the residents next door, let alone anyone using the courtyard - VERY close quarters and everything in the courtyard echos. Not the fault of anyone, just the nature of the set up. Long version: So the garage space is actually two separate doors for a 2 car garage. We got there at the same time as the tenant next to us when we realized our side wasn’t working (looked like the belt on it wasn’t moving at all), and they kindly offered to swap spaces with us since they were just parking it during their stay, not using it to come and go like we needed to. I called and left a voicemail requesting a call back, detailing the issue. The next day around 10am I got a text from “Jen” asking how my stay was... I responded about the issue referencing my voicemail and “Lyonya” responded saying she apologized but got my voicemail and had a work order in for the doors, I clarified it was only the one door and “Kendall” responded to say she put a work order in... someone showed up to attempt to fix it and was apparently unsuccessful. We received no communication from that point forward and it still wasn’t working when we left. We had to open and close by hand on our last day so the new tenant at the main house wasn’t inconvenienced. Also the pool on Tybee is hilariously small for how many properties have access. Good luck getting in. So the property was cleaned very thoroughly. But the panel above the microwave was completely missing, the inside of the freezer was rusty, the towel rack in the bathroom was rusty, there’s indents in the walls of the bedroom by the door, a lot of the baseboard was missing paint, furniture and kitchen cabinets are a little more banged up than you can see in the listing photos. This property is however in a great spot! Was nice having the Kroger right there, not too many restaurants in walking distance, but Forsyth park is so close. Beautiful area and the courtyard pool was great.

Nice enough place

The VRBO was nice and clean very up to date and modern, There were a couple of negatives. We only had 1 full size towel 2 smaller towels and a couple of hand towels. More linens would be nice especially for a place with a pool. While mentioning the pool, it is only open from 10am to 5pm, these are the prime times to explore the city and we were raley home during those hours so it might as well not even be there. You also share this area with the guest of the main house, If they are considerate people your experience may be better than the drunk bachelorette party that was using the main house during my wife and I's stay but that was not the property managers fault. Over all seemed a bit pricey for the experience but not horrible.
