"The house was spotless and a good location to get on highway. It was near the airport and could hear planes landing and taking off but did not hear planes after 11 p m. The owner lives in lower level and was very nice but did not speak much English and I do not speak Portuguese so checking in was a little complicated. I liked the location it was not as busy as Funchal and overlooked the mountains. The island is spectacular and would definitely recommend a stay on this island. "

"My group of 6 from Nevada stayed 4 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Hosts Clara and Roberto greeted us upon arrival and gave us pertinent useful information about the house and area. A wonderful collection of welcome gifts was a pleasant surprise. The property itself is beautiful with artful design furnishings throughout.
