A posh hotel very near to the downtown area. Can walk to the heritage trail. Nice environment, just a bit costly.

Wir haben das Hotel für eine zwischen Übernachtung auch aufgrund der guten Bewertungen ausgewählt. Leider entsprechen die Fotos in keinster Weise der Realität. In diesem Hotel gibt es am Abend kaum noch nicht etwas zu essen. Positiv erwähnt werden muss: die hochwertige unwahrscheinlich relativ neue Matratze und das Frühstücksangebot

Very nice 3.5 star hotel, used as a base for 2 nights so only had breakfast which was ok. Pool was nice, AC in room was good but noisy

Whilst the property could do with a renovation, it’s clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The two restaurants on site have a wide range of local and international cuisines. The hotel is also in walking distance of the Sandakan Heritage Trail

Nice but ... no thanks
While this hotel is nice enough, the reality is that its 1.7km from the nearest eateries/shopping, and the facilities it offers in-house are sadly lacking. We went to breakfast at 9.30am on our first morning and there was hardly anything left. We blamed ourselves for being late, so went at 8.30am the following morning - same situation! The food was not replenished at all, however the serving spoons and their dishes were, even though the Bain Maries were empty! The pool is great but you are hard pushed to get any service at all. Cold drinks must be purchased from the upstairs cafe, which has limited opening hours. The staff were great, there is a money exchange facility (typically awful rate) however no tourist information available at all. I believe we were lucky to jag a renovated room on the 8th floor, but I wouldn't recommend the hotel, nor would I stay there again.

A lovely, comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. The staff is very friendly and willing to help in whatever you need. Good breakfast included and the hotel has a good Chinese restaurant.

ruim opgezet hotel met nette kamers. Alles voorhanden en een heerlijk ruim zwembad. Twee restaurants waarvan wij de Chinese de beste vonden (en goed betaalbaar). Enige nadeel van het hotel is dat het niet echt op loopafstand van het centrum is dus even een GRAB of taxi nodig.

Overcrowding with package tourists. Public areas almost inaccessible due to crowding. Smoking in guest rooms and outside obnoxious (despite signage). Overall, the hotel is dated and poorly managed.

The hotel itself was clean, nice pool area. The rooms could be improved, very basic, a lot of mould in the shower! One morning we didn’t get picked up for our tour which left us with nowhere to stay and no way of contacting the company, the staff were amazing, got us a room, made phone calls on our behalf ect..

Bra, centralt beläget hotell med toppenpool
Rummet (ett deluxe-rum) var relativt stort och fräscht, trots att hotellet är långt ifrån nytt. Allt var välfungerande. Maten i restauranten var överlag bra, utan att direkt imponera. Personalen var trevlig och ganska tillbakalutad (på ett bra sätt). Hotellets största kvalitet är i våra ögon poolen, som är stor, centralt placerad och har väldigt behagligt varmt vatten. Hotellets läge är bra, några minuters bilfärd från stadens centrum. Hotellet är långt ifrån nytt, men ändå rätt välunderhållet. Vår känsla är att det är det bästa alternativet i staden, vilket bekräftades av ett antal "locals" som vi pratade med om saken.
