Great location, Great Trip

We had a fantastic time in this Historic Fan neighborhood house. We stayed with my wife, mother in-law and dog while I was in town for work. The house and neighborhood we perfect for our needs and we loved the walkability of the neighborhood. This is a great spot for anyone looking for the full Richmond city experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this Fan district home- great location, beautiful home and very responsive owner. Everything was as pictured, would definitely recommend for a Richmond stay!

great location

Great location! We love the Fan district. However, when we arrived, the house had not been cleaned. Starting with the front door, that was mostly glass, it was filthy. The floors were covered in dust, as was the furniture. The blinds hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Bathrooms were dirty as well. So, we had to clean the entire house on our first day. Shame on you.Other than that massive inconvenience, the house is roomy and comfortable. The location is great, with restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Close to Monument Ave., which is lovely to walk down and view all of the historic homes.My advice is to hire new cleaners and have someone check the home prior to the guests arrival. Also, it would be nice for you to refund our cleaning fee...since I'm the one who cleaned the house.

Charming Indeed!

Granted, I’m writing this review months after my visit, but rest assured it’s an indication of how memorable my stay was. The house was well-appointed, spacious, and situated in a lovely neighborhood. “Charming Fan District Getaway” is an apropos description for an elegant home that won’t disappoint! Not to mention, the host, Josh, provided great information to make our relatively short time in the Fan District all the more enjoyable.

University of Richmond weekend

Our family was attending the University of Richmond Relay for Life. The house is in a great location - close to campus and dining on Cary St that we like. Check-in was very easy, everything as advertised. I would highly recommend for parents weekend or graduation!

Quaint and charming !

Our family was in town for a wedding that had a lot of planned activities for the 3 days. We weren’t at the house all that much but arriving home at night was always welcoming and comforting! The neighborhood and house is adorable, (including friendly dog walking neighbors) the house is cozy and elegant. The hosta were very easy to communicate with and the check in/or process is a breeze with code lock to get in/out. No major checkout policies to deal with (I.e we didn’t have to strip all the beds or basically clean the whole house before leaving - which was very helpful w a 5 aM departure!)) All in all , 10/10 highly recommend!!

Great Introduction to Richmond

This was our first time to Richmond and we loved how convenient everything was to the property. We could easily walk to grocery stores and restaurants and my children loved how close it was to the museums.

Lovely house in the Fan District

We used this lovely house as our home base while we visited family in Richmond. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic! We recommend it highly to anyone considering staying in the area.

So much better than expected

The pictures for this house were great, bright and inviting. Once we got to the house it was so much better! Every space is as pictured with the added bonus of feeling like home. The rooms are furnished minimally without being sparce in an uncomfortable way. The kitchen and bathrooms are supplied with all the essentials and then some. The front and backyard outdoor spaces are welcoming and make you want to stay a while! The beds sleep very well, the bedding is cozy and the sofa was comfortable! The Host is attentive and communicated often without it being too many messages. The information provided was pertinent and well timed. The shower curtain was the only not perfect thing about our stay. It seems to cling to you when you don't want it to. With all that said I've already recommended this house to family for future visits! I'd definitely stay here again as well!
