    Welcome to our cozy corner nook in Richmond—your perfect home away from home! This charming, studio-style basement apartment is full of personality and ideal for couples, small families, solo travelers, or remote workers—and yes, your well-behaved pup is welcome, too. 🐾

    Inside, you’ll find an intimate open layout with stylish comfort and vintage charm. Unwind in the cozy living area with a leather sofa, armchairs, Roku TV, decorative fireplace, and reading materials.

    Dine or snack at the large retro bar with fun swivel disco chairs or enjoy the peek-a-boo breakfast bar with seating for four. The fully equipped kitchen includes a Keurig, range, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge—plus a two-person breakfast nook and even a checkers table for a little fun.

    Heads Up! The basement has a full ceiling height of 7 feet throughout, but there is one lower beam near the kitchen entryway that may be just under 6 feet. Please watch your head when walking through that area—especially our taller guests!

    There are two flexible sleeping areas:

    A queen bed with a twin-over-twin trundle and vanity setup in the open living space

    A semi-private nook with a full-size bed, vanity, dresser, and some toys & games for added comfort

    Please note: Both sleeping areas are open to the rest of the apartment (no bedroom doors or partitions).

    Sound Note: As this is a basement-level apartment, guests may occasionally hear the upstairs neighbors walking, using the stairs, or watching TV if the volume is high. While it’s typically minimal, we just like to set expectations in case you’re a light sleeper.

    The luxe bathroom is a true retreat, with a spacious walk-in shower featuring dual shower heads and a beautiful clawfoot soaking tub. Located just off the kitchen, it’s well-lit and thoughtfully designed.

    Outside, enjoy your own little rustic brick patio with seating for two—perfect for sipping morning coffee or catching a quiet moment at sunrise.

    Dog-Friendly Accommodations: We welcome small and medium-sized dogs! Large dogs may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, especially if they’re quiet travelers—this is just to help minimize noise for guests staying in the upstairs units. If you`re bringing a bigger pup, feel free to reach out with a quick note—we`re happy to chat!

    Traveling with Children: Children are welcome; however, please note that our home is not child-proofed. We do not provide outlet covers, a pack `n play, crib, high chair, or other baby gear. You`re welcome to bring any child-related items you may need to ensure the safety and comfort of your little ones. Due to sound travel between units, we kindly ask guests to keep this in mind when traveling with infants—we generally prefer no infants.

    Entry & Exit Info: The main entrance to the basement apartment is accessed via 4–5 concrete steps with a railing for safety. There’s also a side exit from inside the unit, which leads up a wooden staircase (5–6 steps) to an orange exterior door.

    Walk to local favorites like Zombie Pizza, WPA Bakery, Laura Lee’s, and vintage shops. You’re also just minutes from Carytown, Maymont, and Byrd Park.

    Whether you’re here for a quick getaway or a longer stay, this inviting and eclectic hideaway offers all the comfort and charm you need to enjoy RVA to the fullest. We can’t wait to host you!

    The entire home is accessible to guests with the exception of one locked hospitality closet which contains our cleaning and restocking supplies. Any evidence of tampering with locks may result in a fee.

We traveled to Richmond for the holidays. The place was very inviting with everything we needed. Plus we were able to bring our new puppy!
