We had such a great time staying here. The location is great, it has a nice open space behind it with walkable paths. It's very close to the grocery store and close to numerous beaches and hikes. The place itself is clean and comfortable. I recommend a stop at the Safeway in Kapaa to get basics like extra toilet paper, detergent etc. as they are not provided if you run out.Would definitely stay here again.

Initial communication was excellent, although the amount of paperwork was a lot. Check-in was challenging with lock box. Key fell out of the lock box into rocks below and had to be retrieved by climbing over a wall. My bed had sand in it. Upon closer inspection there were marks on the sheets and someone else's hair. I stripped the bed to wash the sheets and found smelly wet laundry in the washing machine and laundry left in the dryer. I send photos of everything to the host. His reply was the cleaners said they changed the sheets. This began numerous emails including other sanitation issues that were not addressed well, in my opinion. Dishes and flatware in the cabinets/drawers had food particles (poorly cleaned dishes). Tongs were put away with food and grease still on them. Stained towels smelled yucky. I washed mine again. The knife block and all the knives were splattered with grease. The jacuzzi wasn't working. The host's audacious response was "you must have received the email," which I responded no. I also didn't receive an email with the wi-fi password. When I requested it, the host told me it was in the information sent earlier. I looked through it all, and only found that "it would be sent via email." Rather than have the password handy for guests, I was sent on a search for it, and when I couldn't find it or the email I was told would be sent, another was finally sent. Communication was horrible. It soured my vacation. This was NOT luxury as described.

The host was horrible and we were unable to enter the home for three hours! Then the freezer didn’t work and we had food in it! The host gave us a link to pay to fix a freezer that did not belong to us!! Then the host filed a claim for damage against the insurance we purchased!! I suggest you find something else more accommodating!!

Nice place

The accommodations were nice and the location was great as well. I would suggest they add some TV’s in the bedrooms as only having one TV kind of limited viewing. Basic TV was also limiting especially when you can’t get sports channels during conference finals.Other than that the villa was very enjoyable.

Lovely Princeville Stay

We were very happy with the property! 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms suited our family perfectly. Thank you for the extra floor fan for the bedrooms. Loved the proximity to the Makai Tennis Courts! Nice to have a pool/hot tub on the property! Convenient location to to the town of Hanalei!

Enjoyed ourselves immensely. Weather cooperated for 5 out of 7 days. A little warm but not intolerable without a/c. Great communication with the host.

Great location, host was very challenging

Overall, the location of the property is great, and property is spacious and comfortable. That being said, it is described as a "luxury" property, which is inaccurate – the property has a dated feel and the appliances are old. Our major problem was with the host, who was very difficult to communicate with and adversarial at times. We were unable to locate the beach towels, after looking everywhere we contacted the host, who suggested places to look. The beach towels were not on the property so the host sent the cleaners to deliver beach towels. We were then told the “beach towels had been there the whole time” (which they had NOT been) and that we were going to be charged for the cleaner’s time. Furthermore, there was a pair of laundered underwear that was not ours attached to one of the towels. I sent a picture of this to the host, and he reported me to VRBO. They then took the cleaner’s fee from our damage deposit. It was the strangest interaction with a host I’ve ever had. We rent out our own property frequently and are very relaxed guests, so this was surprising and ultimately left us feeling irritated on our holiday. I would not recommend staying at this property.

Great spot.

Loved the location. Easy access to beaches. Morning walks. And beautiful north side of the island. Property is big, safe, and room for family and friends. Pool and BBQ was amazing as well. Communication was efficient and clear. No surprises. We can’t wait to stay again!

Not great.

Far from a luxury experience. Make sure you read the entire listing and the listing on their website, not just the vrbo website. Vrbo had no mention of no AC and shame on us for assuming they had one. The check in involved several emails with detailed house rules. We found ourselves digging through emails looking for pass codes and details. There were only 2 portable fans for the three bedrooms that only seemed to blow hot air on us at night. Communication with their team was not great, not helpful, and only during business hours. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable. Out dated appliances with no ice maker. Great location, though would recommend a different rental.

Great stay over New Years!

We had a great time here over the New Years holiday. The unit was nice and spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Everything was clean, and communication with the property management company was quick and easy - they were very responsive to a small plumbing issue we had during our stay. The one downside was the lack of beach gear available for us to use, compared to other places we've stayed, but that was minor and not a huge inconvenience. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Princeville. One thing to keep in mind, is that there is no AC in the unit, but with the windows open and the fans blowing, it wasn't too much of an issue in the winter time.
