Many hiking opportunities outside Tucson, hiking to the seven falls here. About a two hour hike. Refill your water bottle in the falls themselves. Crystal clear! It is part of the Bear Canyon Trails in the Santa Catalina mountain range. You can take a bus until the pavement ends then begin the hike.

My bucket list is to explore all 59 National Parks in the US. So far, we've been lucky enough to visit over 30. Here's one of them. Saguaro #nationalpark is home to the native Saguaro Cacti and houses the largest one in the world. They're recognizable for many reasons but to me because they were all over the Wiley Coyote/Roadrunner cartoons growing up. They're arms only start growing when they are 70 and only reach adulthood at the ripe age of 125. It is illegal to cut down a Saguaro in the entire state of Arizona. Want a lesson in Cactii and desert plant life? The tallest one is, of course, the Saguaro. The green tree to the right is a Palo Verde, the yellowish cactus directly in front is the jumping cholla, the cactus with the flat green pads are Prickly Pear, the tree to the left is Mesquite and in the background you can see the branches of an Ocotillo.

Here is an image I captured at Empire Ranch a couple of months ago!! This one is a is actually an HDR image and is made up of four different exposures, and my first attempt at stacking.. I lost the Milky Way core a little here, it started setting a lot faster than I expected and the light pollution didn't help, but I am still happy with it! #BvSAstro

This 21 mile Ajo Mountain Scenic Loop is not to be missed. It took us about two and a half hours going very slowly. It’s a pretty rough graded dirt road, but well worth it. There are a few really nice picnic tables along the way. We took our dog, so we didn’t hike.
