Solid stay. Great hospitality from the host, very low maintenance checkout process. Oven was broken during visit, but didn’t impact the stay. Easy to get in and out of. Good location.

A series of unfortunate events were mismanaged and unprofessionally handled by the host. Additionally, the house is not up to code and dangerous. The house cleaner was still at the house and accidently blew out the electric outside by the hot tub that also blew out the lights in the kitchen and laundry area. The outlet that initiated the blown electric should have been a GCFI, but was not. We were lucky there was not an electrical fire due to a non-GCFI outlet being so close to a hot tub. There was also no GCFI outlet next to the kitchen sink or in the bathrooms. All are code violations and dangerous. After the electric blew, the host asked a guest at the house to go to the fuse box to attempt to reset a blown fuse. She proceeded to argue that there should be a blown fuse. This was unprofessional and dangerous to ask a guest to go into the fuse box to attempt to fix an electrical issue in a house that has multiple electrical code violations. The host then asked that a guest be at the home the next day between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. so an electrician can fix the problem. Asking the guests to augment plans in order to fix a problem with the host's property is extremely unprofessional. Due to the electrical issue, the water heater pilot light went out. When the guests came back to take a shower mid day before going to an event, they all had to take ice cold showers with no hot water. There are plenty more issues with the home and host but no more room to type.

Wedding Weekend in Phoenix

My husband, adult children and I were in town for a family wedding. The house was perfect for our needs, a compact and comfortable four bedroom with plenty of space for the four of us. The weekend was quite hot for April but we enjoyed being outside by the pool where the outdoor furniture was comfortable and shaded with umbrellas. The kitchen was well stocked and it was nice to have a few cooking essentials--spices, tea, butter, olive oil--around rather than having to buy these and throw them away later. The hosts were very responsive and the instructions for the house easy to follow. The neighborhood was great, very close to grocery stores, restaurants and the 51 highway. I would definitely stay there again.

Great house for a family vacation

Our family stayed here and we loved the house and the location. The home is close to restaurants and groceries. The neighborhood is quiet too. The pool was too cold for us to enjoy it, although more days with warmer weather probably would have helped warm it up. The billiard table was a great way to spend our evenings, but we would bring some board games next time. An overall great trip! Thanks to Joanne and Alan, the hosts!

Great location.

The home is in a nice neighborhood close to lots of stores and restaurants. The pool and outdoor area are beautiful and relaxing! The kitchen is in need of updating but was well equipped. The owners were easy to contact and were most helpful!

Relaxing & quiet

The property was in a close proximity of what we were in town for. Very clean and open floor plan. Owner was very attentive and helpful. Very quiet neighborhood. Excellent stay for all of us.

A break from Seattle weather

The property was in a good location, for walkers, there is a great walking path just a few blocks away. Easy to hop on highway 51. Great hikes near by, including a favorite at 40th and Shea. Lots of nearby hikes for families with young kids. Nice to sit by the pool to read and use the hot tub in the evenings.

Guys trip

We were looking for a place to stay on a weekend away and we found it. It was centrally located to all the places we needed to go. The house was very clean and the hot tub was exactly what we needed after a long day. We would definitely stay here again. The owners were very accommodating and were available anytime we had a question.

Great weekend stay for Barrett Jackson

The property was clean and perfect for our group of 5. We generally used it for sleeping quarters as we were gone all day at the auction, but can easily see the value of the property for a more standard vacation stay The hosts were readily available for any questions during our stay

Nice clean place in good neighborhood

Overall a nice place to stay for an older home. Location is excellent in north Scottsdale. Close to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Would gladly stay here again.
