Beach view was unobstructed and the pool was top notch! Our host was the best host ever and was extremely communicative and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable to the max. Perfect villa for family vacation!

We were more than pleased with our stay at Villa Hibiscus! This was our first trip to Sint Maarten and we could not have picked a better spot. The host, Chris, was very accommodating and helpful during our stay. He made the whole process of arrival and departure so easy and was available to help throughout our entire vacation! Perfect Family Getaway in a Quiet Location with Easy Access to Phillipsburg

We had an amazing time at this property! The location is perfect—peaceful and quiet, yet not too far from bustling Phillipsburg. There’s a little grocery store nearby, which made it easy to pick up essentials. You definitely need a car to get around, but the beach is just 10 steps away from the pool, which is so convenient! The beach was pristine with soft, clean sand—ideal for relaxing.Communication with Christoph, the property manager, was excellent. He was incredibly responsive, always ready with helpful tips and recommendations. He suggested a wonderful French bakery that we loved, and even connected us with a fantastic driver for one evening.The house itself was spacious, with large bedrooms and great bathrooms. It’s an ideal spot for large families or multi-generational groups since there’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to relax, enjoy the beach, and explore the area.

Fantastic property and host

We could not have been happier with this house and with Chris, our host. We had 9 people including our 2 grandchildren (3&5) and each couple has their own bedroom and each one had irs own full bath. I do a lot of construction so I know good construction. This ace is built well with top notch materials and is very well decorated. see it

Slice of heaven

An incredible house that comfortably fit (10) adults and two kids. Great flow throughout the home and the beautiful outdoor area. The beach felt like it was all ours. The waves were great for body surfing and much calmer our last morning. Our host, Chris, was great. Very responsive and always with a bright smile. If you are lucky, you will meet Loki his dog who is the friendliest dog on the island!All in all, we couldn’t have designed a better vacation home!

Perfection in Paradise

Large, clean home on fantastic beach.

Villa Hibiscus is a very large, very well-maintained home on a great beach! The bedrooms are large and all have incredible bathrooms and plenty of privacy. There is more than enough gathering space inside and out to enjoy family/friend time. The pool is one of the largest we've seen in a villa rental - complete with noodles and rafts (which were blown up and waiting for us!) The beach is a little windy and waves break close to the shore, but once past the breaking point, the water is relatively calm and only waist high. There are no rocks or shells. The seaweed does gather a bit on the shore but the beach is wide enough that it is not a bother. Chris was awesome to work with before and during our stay. I highly recommend this house. It is a bit of a drive to many restaurants, but all well worth it.

Six Stars!

If we could rate our experience six stars, we would! The only thing better than the house and ideal setting was the property manager. Chris was absolutely amazing. His communication and hospitality were over the moon - from meeting us at the airport to stopping by as we were leaving to wish us safe travels home. The house was exactly as pictured; spacious and clean. After leading us to the house the from airport, Chris gave us a tour of the house and had a delicious crudite, fruit, cheese, and tropical punch snack prepared for us. The pool was perfect and the beach was steps away and like our very own. We had plans to visit other beaches but what could beat ours, just steps away? We appreciated the daily cleaning service, too. We can’t wait to return!

Paradise PLUS!!

As advertised...and MORE! The more is the attention to detail, and fantastic Customer Service! Chris and his Staff, Maintenance & Housekeeping were the essence of outstanding Customer Service. From arrival to departure Chris was the consummate Concierge and site Manager! There were five of us, occupying 4 rooms of the 6 bedrooms for the entire 30 days; along with a few family members who joined us for a week, or a few days. Given the layout and spaciousness of the Villa, as well as the grounds, we never felt cramped or in each others way, but we had plenty of room to get together for the occasional game of ping pong, our nightly card games, or a quite space to read or listen to a podcast. As someone recovering from a number of back surgeries, and with chronic pain I really appreciated the convenience of having our own pool. Although I also utilized our beach, (mostly for walking) the Atlantic in Feb and Mar can be rough, and unforgiving. Even in my current condition I am still a very strong swimmer, but I did not go in the ocean, just below our villa, until my Son and his family visited for a week. He and I have booth been Beach Lifeguards, and his 10 yr old son is a good swimmer, so we always went in together. While it was fun, and Good Exercise, it was not a very relaxing swim! PLEASE use the Buddy system if you go in! BTW, there are plenty of beaches with calmer surf, and even pretty flat water close by.

Sint Maarten Villa Hibiscus

I have been renting VRBO properties for a January 2 week vacation including 10 adults for more than 15 years. We have had great luck with our VRBO rentals and this property was no exception to that experience. In fact, we feel this may have been the nicest place we have stayed. The listing is accurate and in fact the place exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend communication with Chris (the property manger) as he can help you be ready for a truly wonderful experience on the island. He met our group (which came on different flights) at the airport, took the early arrivals to a grocery store, and led us to the villa. He had prepared a welcome snack including fruit, cheese, and punch for our arrival. He took us through the villa and the appliances with a brief explanation of how everything worked. The rental includes maid service 6 days a week, a delightful convenience. There were only 1 or 2 very minor issues (none of which would have truly disrupted our vacation) but a text or call to Chris resulted in prompt resolution. There is a notebook with instructions for everything in the villa and includes QR codes for restaurants, beaches, entertainment, day trips, and hikes. This led us to several activities we would not otherwise have experienced. This was our third trip to this island and we discovered wonderful new experiences to enjoy. I highly recommend asking Chris about things to do and places to go. And (as Chris says ) 2 things: 1- enjoy 2- enjoy. We did.

Villa in Paradise

We were well cared for starting from before we left home for our trip to St. Maarten. Chris,the property manager, gave us useful information about groceries, restaurants and much more. He arranged with the Market to be there when they delivered our grocery order and talked to one of the restaurants about our reservation when I couldn’t get ahold of the restaurant. He met us at the airport and led us in our rental car to the home. He and his wife greeted us, gave us a tour of the house and left a buffet of fruit, veggies, tortilla chips with dips and rum punch. When we couldn’t find a wine corkscrew,he was there in less than five minutes with one. When we mentioned our grandson was hoping for kids in one of the other houses to play in the pool with, he contacted one of his employees who brought his daughter and her friend to swim one afternoon. The house is beautiful and well kept up. A maid was there every day but Sunday-for 3-4 hours to keep it clean. It had a nice pool with comfortable lounge chairs and was right on the beach. Every bedroom had its own en-suite bathroom. All the necessary amenities were supplied including shampoo, bath wash, dish soap and laundry soap. They also supplied coffee, tea, sugar, oil and vinegar and some spices. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils. There were two large refrigerator/ freezers and a separate ice maker, large stovetop, oven and microwave. They had every base covered.

Great family trip

The trip was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better villa. My grandchildren asked if they could go back the weekend after we got home. There were 10 of us and we were never crowded. Chris, the property was very accommodating to every request.

Beautiful property! We had a wonderful 10 days at the property and on the island. We were a group of 6 couples and the house was perfect for our large group, plenty of room to spread out and enjoy both inside and out. Chris was a great host and helped us line up private chefs, nice excursions and also gave information on the best beaches and restaurants. He is very knowledgeable and responsive. I would highly recommend villa hibiscus.

Absolutely perfect!

Our trip started with a fantastic decision by Concierge Chris when he decided that watching the sunset from Roxy's was preferable to waiting in P-burg traffic! The house is perfect with more than enough room to find your space and master suites for all. One note of caution if you are a runner is that the dogs off of Queen Conch Road are nasty little things! I got bite twice by a little microwave dog and now have to come back to settle the score. ;-) Anyway, we will definitely be back and want to thank Chris and the staff for making things perfect!

Ocean View to Infinity

Guana Bay in January is not the gentle-est of beaches. But the view from Villa Hibiscus is spectacular; the rolling, crashing surf actually calming; near complete absence of beach traffic. The house was perfect for our sibling & spouses group of ten. Chris & his team were attentive to our every comforts. Chris is a wealth of info on sites to see, activities, & island eating establishments. Our stay was very much enjoyed by all!

Nice beach front villa but so many annoying messages from owner for no real reason

I booked 2 villas next to each other from the same owner, for me, my husband and our group of friends we were there for 10 days. having a beachfront was really nice, the pool is a good size, and most of the rooms are spacious and have their own bathroom, but this side of the island turned out to be v windy, and the beach is a little dangerous to swim so most of the days we drove to other beaches. also the house had ants which were a little annoying, especially in the kitchen. but the most annoying thing was the messages I received from the owner & property manager complaining about music noise that one of the cleaners told them about when what actually happened was that I got the news about my baby's gender reveal; one early morning and my friends decided to celebrate with me for exactly 2 hours at 8 am in the morning and the music wasn't loud and it was early in the day also we had no neighbors because we were the ones renting the villa next door too. I saw that was overreacting and the messages were very disrespectful to ppl who are renting 2 expensive villas to enjoy their time and celebrate whatever they like decently and without bothering anyone!

Guana Bay Spring Break 2022- FABULOUS

Villa Hibiscus is beautiful and we have a great vacation. We had 2 families with kids ages ranging from 10-17. The house has more than enough room. The outdoor space is spacious and plenty of shaded space. The pool is bigger than it appears and was good for the kids. The beach is just s few steps away. It was rather strong winds from the east when we were there which made for some large waves. Chris was always quick to help us with suggestions for outings and dinner reservations but stays out of sight so you have your privacy. Malachi went above and beyond to make sure that any concerns were taken care of right away. (Thanks for the fish!) We rented a van which is recommended as there is a lot to see on this beautiful island. Driving is easy as long as you keep up with the pace! Our favorite excursion was the boat rental with PYC Charters. We spent the day on Sunkiss and Captain JP and Janel were full of information about the island and kind to help some of our group that couldn't survive the trip due to sea sickness. We visited Orient Beach, Mullet Beach and Simpson beach (Liked each in that order). Cant wait to go back and explore more of the island and thank you for all your help to make it full of memories for our families!

Oasis of paradise !!!

Just returned from a six night stay at this beautiful villa. Chris gets five stars for attentiveness and responsiveness to making sure all our needs were met. House is beautiful and in well-kept shape. House came clean and fully stocked with towels and other household items. The beach is beautiful and the pool is great. Although I will mention that the beach looks cleaner in the pictures than it is in reality but nonetheless it was a beautiful and private beach. We will definitely consider coming back here on future vacations.

Guana Bay get away - a perfect end to 2020!

Our recent stay at the Villa Hibiscus exceeded our expectations. Our group consisted of 2 families of 5 adults each, 10 total. The Villa’s accommodations are very spacious and clean. The private pool and immediate access to the beach are all we could have hoped for. Guana Bay had waves that provided entertainment for all. I cannot say enough about Chris and Malachi who manage the property and provided guidance from the best grocery store to private chefs, jet ski rentals and local hikes. They are there if you need them but do not interfere in your vacation at all. I highly recommend this property for a peaceful escape to Sint Maarten and look forward to our next visit!
