"It was clean and the staff offered to help with any bags or see us to our room. We stayed one night on our way through town. This is an old building. It was exactly what we expected and needed. If you want a new hotel this is not it. You will be disappointed. However, it is quiet, worn but clean, cozy, and very convenient at a very reasonable price."

"Our room was amazing. We had a balcony on both sides with great views. We stayed in a family room, and the children's pull-out bed was through an open doorway in a separate room. My only complaint is that the elevator (lift) is really scary to use and there are tons of stairs everywhere. Even on the floor of your room, there are 3 or so steps just to get up to the room. "Beautiful seaside Victorian hotel! Staff were stretched thin but very friendly, dinner and breakfast were great, high ceilings in the room, stunning views out the large original windows. Some parts of the room could maybe use a deep sanitize clean, bathroom had an odd aroma. Room and hotel were well appointed otherwise. The walk down to the lifeboat station at sunset was 👌and the hike to Dunskey castle the next morning was incredible."

"My room was disappointing. The en-suite was smelly and the windowless room had no functional ventilation fan. It did not help that the main room window could not be opened. Overhead lighting in the en-suite was hanging loose from the ceiling and the flooring around the (recently?) replaced sink had not been replaced and didn't fit. The bed was OK but something in the linen caused throat irritation which prevented much sleep and the TV was so pixellated it was useless. Hot drink supplies were...
