We just finished our 17th year at this spot. It’s convenient & family friendly & the ease of the location is top notch. However, now that Latitude 29 no longer has onsite management, the overall property appears in decline. There are only 2/3 of the chairs that used to be available for families to use near the pool & patio areas. The ones that are there all have broken straps & some were even taped! The grass has not been taken care of and there are bald spots in many places. The boardwalk areas where you rinse your feet are full of sand as you enter the pool area; hence getting sand in the pool. Those areas used to be hosed off multiple times a day when there was onsite management. There’s also an ant problem around the umbrella tables. There are little biting ants when you’re trying to sit and relax with your family. Again, that would not be an issue if there was onsite management.
As far as the unit itself, it’s our favorite in the complex. The AC worked GREAT this year! The kitchen is pretty decently stocked with cooking items. However, the ice maker does not work AT ALL. And a mere 4 old school ice trays are all you have available for use which is unacceptable. The master bedroom bed is very comfortable which is a plus. However, with multiple light bulbs burned out in the master bedroom AND bathroom, it’s hard to see much less put on makeup. The master bathroom sink is also clogged. Will we return? YES! But please add onsite management back!
