Liked the place and the communication before/after. Hard to find off the road- needs to be spelled out. Multiple light bulbs also not replaced. Also I believe the master bathroom was off-limits to outside use, which is off-putting.

Memories were made

The property was perfect for our family get away. The kids had an amazing time exploring the property and all it has to offer . The hot tub was perfect each night after a long day hiking and fishing. Natalee was super helpful with all our questions and even helped us find a lake to fish in. We will definitely be coming back

Nice little hide away!

We really enjoyed our time with our two labs walking through the private trails on the property. Saw deer every day, along with other beautiful wildlife. We enjoyed building a fire in the evening while watching the sunset at night.

Beautiful cabin in the woods near Lake Pagosa!

We really enjoyed our stay here, loved the privacy and acreage in the woods to hike around. Very quiet and relaxing. Hot tub was great! Will stay here again. Hosts were great to work with and they made the process very easy to add an additional night. Thank you!

Excellent Stay!

Great spot for kids and dogs with the big yard and hot tub. Easy check in and out. Property manager was available for questions and very accommodating. would highly recommend.

Have stayed at many places in Pagosa Springs but this stay was by far the Best! House was great and the attention to detail by the representative Natalee was FANTASTIC!! Would stay here again and again and again!!!

Beautiful location

The location was wonderful. Our concierge Natalee was very helpful and quick to respond. The house wasn't cleaned well. The king bed had dog hair left in the sheets. The queen had mouse droppings in the sheets and under the pillow. The hot tub worked but was definitely not new.

Pagosa Springs cabin

We enjoyed the cabin and especially the land surrounding it. Our only complaint would be the master bed; it slopes inward, and was difficult to sleep in. That might be the one thing needed before we revisit. Otherwise, it was awesome and our kids loved it.

Great setting and not far from town

The photos were accurate for both setting and property condition. We really enjoyed the location, the front porch, and the wildlife. The house itself is a bit tired but the pics are accurate and things were clean. Kitchen was well-equipped. Nice hot tub. Very private. Would return.

Overall good stay the house is an older house kitchen is new and good the up stairs toilet broke while there but didn’t bother us do to two bathrooms down stairs. There is a ton of beds and room for the whole family but only one upstairs bathroom, all beds are upstairs This house is set off up on hillside very quiet and peaceful with trees around it The hot tub was very nice after hunting or long hikes. It needs a better pathway and steps to hot tub but was great for us. Only two issues I would love to see happen is a lot more lights added to outside surrounding home and the upstairs toilet fixed. I would come and stay again and 100% recommend this home

Good cabin

It was a good cabin on a beautiful and large area of land. Overall it was pretty clean but there were dead flies everywhere. In the kids bedroom with the bunk beds the windowsill had about 75-100 dead flies which grossed them out. Also, we specifically booked the cabin because it was close to a lake. VRBO website made it seem like the house was on a lake since we filtered it to be lakeside. We did not have access to the lake because it was private. That but of info would have been nice to know upfront.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were in need of a quick get away, somewhat close to town to rest our busy lives. We arrived shortly before dinner to a lovely and very spacious cabin adorned with lots of snow to set the winter retreat. The house is well lit, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The house sits away from the small town of Pagosa whish was perfect perfect for our family and our dogs. The large living with 3 couches, a big screen tv and a gas stove to watch movies and or read books. Three is two spacious large bedrooms for adults and two smaller bedrooms. The bathrooms were were clean. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped with spices and pots and pans and any other necessary tools that wee needed to prepare our food for each meal. The hot tub was perfect after we took a three hour hike on the property looking at elk and turkey tracks. Sleds and snow shovels are provided and there is plenty of parking. We will be back for a girl weekend and maybe another trip with or without the kids.

Some really nice things, but many things need attention

We have stayed in MANY VRBO properties over the years, so we're familiar with the range in quality regarding cleanliness, decor, amenities, communication, etc. I will list what we felt were the pros and cons of our stay. PROS: - Great location, very quiet, private and secluded. - Nice hot tub. - Nice new appliances in the kitchen. - Very responsive and helpful communication with the property manager. - Wifi worked well. CONS: - Somehow the pictures on-line made it look much nicer than it ended up looking in person. - Many random lightbulbs need to be replaced throughout the house. Odd light fixtures that look cool, but are sometimes challenging to turn on. - Our bed collapsed on us 3 times! And we were literally just getting in it or turning over. (It's a King and the middle row of legs supporting it kept bending like they weren't bolted in properly. Repairman came to fix it, but it still caved in again.) - Leak under kitchen sink. Repairman said it was from the garbage disposal and that there was a big plastic bowl to catch the water until it could be replaced. - No window covering in upstairs bathroom. - It really just needs a deep cleaning and some rearranging of furniture to help it be more comfortable.

Host was responsive and welcoming. Amenities were all in excellent condition, except for the DVD player which wasn't working properly, but luckily we brought our own just in case. Cabin is basically in the perfect location, as it provides the feeling of being remote while on the property, yet it's a short drive to in-town restaurants and stores, including a Walmart. Highly recommend Rosie's Pizzeria for both normal crust pizza and their gluten free crust option. Check out Black Bart's Brunch for breakfast, including the gluten free option for their waffles. The hot tub was clean and in good working order. The mattress in the master "Bear" room is definitely on the very firm side, as an FYI.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival the hot tub was disgusting. Full of dirt with a thick scum line 2 inches above the water and some kind of stuff stuck to the water intake. When I notified the concierge all I kept being told was that it had been serviced that morning. When somebody came out the next day they cleaned it which was great but they over chlorinated the water so much it was off the charts on testers and would have been dangerous for anyone to sit in. I had to use a large bowl to scoop out water and fill with clean hose water in an attempt to help balance it. Every time I spoke with the concierge or the manager I was met with attitude and zero accountability. The issue was consistently being spun around on me some how which was infuriating. The manager made a point to tell me how expensive it was to have someone come out to clean it "on my request". Moving on from the hot tub and terrible mamagement/customer service... one of the couches i went to sit on there were dried boogers on the arm rest. There was trash under another couch. The bathroom upstairs had questionable substances on the walls next to the sink. One of the bedrooms smelled like something had died and was rotting in it. I noticed the smoke detector upstairs had the battery compartment left open with no battery in it, a safety issue. I didn't approach the company with this because of how they treated me with the hot tub. Would never use this company again.
