"Main reason for the 4 stars is the non-functioning Mini-Split style Air-Conditioning units. The host/property management had installed two window A/C units, so we give them credit for that and that there was A/C in the unit. However these are simply obnoxious in noise and (strong) blowing cold air. Unit was clean and bright, nicely accommodated. "We were not provided check in instructions Intl 3 hours after our check in time. The air bnb listing you posted is very misleading. "This year we chose The Shire for our girls trip bc it was close to a winery we love to go to. The owners were the best hosts. The place was clean & comfortable. Beds were great too. We will definitely come back again! Thank you so much for a lovely stay at The Shire & your hospitality!"

"Beautiful spot. Excellent communication with the owners. Simply spent the night, but the amenities looked amazing and it would be fun to go back."
