This was such a quiet, cozy spot! My son loved watching the fish in the pond. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed 3 nights at The Shire. It was very cozy, clean and the location was perfect for us. The only thing we experienced was a musty smell in the main bedroom and bathroom. However, Mike did explain it was due to the air conditioner which was fixed a few days prior but the mustiness was still lingering. Mike immediately brought in a dehumidifier and that solved the problem.

Beautiful country setting, so peaceful, yet just 10 minutes to local stores and restaurants. It was nice having our private drive to the main road, The rental was spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could need. We were about 15 minutes from Saint Joseph's restaurants and shops. Tiscornia Beach is what dreams are made of. Hope to return in the future.

Fourth of July

We stayed Friday through Sunday. It was comfortable, very nice, well stocked, beautiful property and great location. Peaceful country location and yet close to lake Michigan and many restaurants and stores within a few miles. Beautiful fire pit area next to the pond that has string lights. Just a very relaxing, comfortable, well maintained and truly nice place!!!

Cozy quick vacation

Came for a 2 night stay with my wife and 2 toddlers. I like how secluded it was. Very clean and a lot of amenities that were useful to parents. Only down side was the tub drain didn’t stay down so we couldn’t give kids a bath so we settled for very quick screaming showers, but that’s no big deal. I would recommend a kid friendly toilet seat for the future!

Family vacation

I was blown away by how awesome it was. From the beautiful area to the fan favorite pingpong table we had a blast!! We would 100 percent stay at The Shire again! The hosts are amazing people and very friendly!! Everything was in driving distance which was great. My family had a blast feeding the fish and making s'mores by the campfire.

Nicely tucked away place. Right size for either a couple or small family. 15-20 minutea away from dunes, St. Joe's, and wineries.Hosts were great, treating you as their personal guests. We hope to return.

We had a group of four for a wine tasting getaway. Loved the property. The pond and fire pit areas are peaceful. The host left a book with restaurants/attractions nearby. We enjoyed our stay!

My daughter and I were so impressed with the Shire. It’s lovely, clean and comfortable. The property is beautiful. We had a great stay and look forward to staying here again in the future. The hosts take great pride in their property and communicate well to ensure their guests are comfortable.

Ladies Weekend

We spent the night here and loved the place! I wish we could have scheduled a spring or summer weather trip. It’s very peaceful and beautiful. Beds are comfortable and the place is very clean. Mike is quick to reply with questions.

We dashed over to Michigan for a girls wine tasting sleep over. We enjoyed our stay at The Shire. The host was extremely accommodating. The Shire had every amenity that we desired and more...we will be back soon!

A very nice & clean stay!

Mid winter is not the typical rental season for this property but there was plenty of heat to get the spaces warm and cozy. The unit is a nicely converted pole barn with thoughtful ameninites and a communicative host. Property is close to Lemon Creek and Round Barn wineries as well as near to Berrien Springs. We will definitely be back!
