We had the most lovely stay on Balboa Island with our group of five women. The accommodations were great and we loved the location and walkabilty of the island. Brad was a fantastic host. And the use of the Duffy boat was the highlight of our trip.

This is wonderful house located right on the beach path on Balboa Island. We have stayed here many times, my wife and I and sometimes our adult children. Two steps to the beach and you are all set; beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels come with the house. The owner, Brad, is super responsive, getting back to us quickly and solving any problems (although there seldom are any problems). We cannot wait until our next vacation at this property.

Super fun Christmas family celebration

Our sons and grandchildren stayed here with us and it was perfect for us. Great grandparents, Aunts and Uncles joined us for Christmas dinner and there was plenty of room. Great location. We walked to the ferry, restaurants downtown, and there are two markets that are walking distance.

Island Gem

This is a wonderful location on Balboa Island! We vacation on the island almost every year and this property is one of our favorites. There are many amenities that other houses don’t provide such as paddle boards, kayaks, and an optional use of the Duffy boat. Our family, from grandparents to infants, thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great location, place & host!

This is a fantastic vacation rental for families with young children or adults looking for a very comfortable beach house in a great location. It has a large patio on the harbor, two large bedrooms, an 8-minute walk to restaurants and shops, and parking with room for two SUVs. It was very clean and stocked with all the kitchen tools, nice towels and sheets, and lots of sand toys for the kids. Brad, the host, is very responsive and wants to ensure you have everything you need and a great stay. Even though we only live less than 30 minutes away, this will become our yearly vacation spot!

Had a delightful stay. The location is well situated on the north side of the island, walkable to everything. Wonderful views and having the owner/prop manager adjacent was nice to have… he is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Would love a chance to stay again.

Great Getaway

Our 3 generation family getaway to Balboa was perfect for everyone. The teens loved paddle boarding, the parents enjoyed the Serenity of our ocean view and the grandparents were delighted with Brad’s beautiful home and all its amenities. The colorful sunsets and ocean views made our family gathering one to remember. We look forward to returning to charming Balboa soon and would love to stay in the same house as it was wonderful for all of us. Thanks for being a great host Brad.

Balboa Island Paradise

What a fantastic 4 nights and 5 days! Let’s start with Brad! What a fantastic host! Brad was 1st class all the way. Friendly, helpful and made us feel welcomed the entire time. Location, Location, Location! Right on the water with a private boat deck where we enjoyed happy hour. The Duffy boat rental was an added benefit. All accommodations were excellent. Cable TV with plenty of channels including HBO and Showtime. Beds and closet space was excellent for my family. Parked the car and walked to all restaurants, ferry and beach. I looked at several places on the island and glad we chose this property! Hope to be back soon! Thanks Again!

Balboa Paradise

This home is beautiful, spacious and has the perfect location & amenities. Brad is the greatest host and his home is just perfect for a family to enjoy everything that Balboa has to offer. We especially enjoyed using Brad's Duffy to explore the beautiful area. We look forward to staying here again!

Loved the Location

We loved the location of the house. Exactly as described. The house had all we needed to enjoy a wonderful week on Balboa Island with friends and family. The kids learned to kayak thanks to Brad's generosity and use of kayaks. Hope to be back again.

Mini spring break getaway

My husband and I brought our younger daughter and a few of her friends down to the island for a few days. We've stayed in many places and this is one of our favorites. The master bedroom has a gorgeous view of the bay and very spacious with a desk with a view - and super comfy couch. Great space if you're needing to get some work done or just want a quieter place to sit and read. The other two bedrooms and bath upstairs also were fantastic. The kitchen is very user friendly and a nice dining room, with another full bath off the kitchen. Full screen TV's in LR and BR's and great amenities. Brad is a perfect host and we so enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks and duffy ride. Thank you Brad for a great getaway both for us and the girls had a blast! We'll definitely be back.

Perfect North Bayfront House

My wife and I loved this house. The view of bay from the patio, the downstairs, and the upstairs master bedroom was perfect. Being on the water front is especially relaxing. The house was well outfitted with beach necessities, and the beds were comfortable. Brad made the check-in and check-out quite easy, providing his number in case we needed anything. He even called us after our stay to make sure we enjoyed it and to see if we thought anything needed to be improved. We didn't see anything in need. We highly recommend this property.

Birthday

The house was older and a lot of wood, which I liked. I picked this property because I grew up in a house like this; lots of wood, not stucco. Brad allowed us to bring our well behaved Golden Retriever, & I think she behaved well, at least I hope so. Would pick this house again. Only one problem is it takes the water a long time to get warm. Since we seem to have a water shortage I hate to let water waste while it warms up
