"I grew up 15 miles from Newport Beach. The location is outstanding from a local perspective. 36-52 street is where locals go to the beach. It’s not as touristy and if you need food or a bathroom- head “home.” We enjoyed taking the Duffy Boat over to Balboa and grabbing a balboa bar. The home itself has a terrific view with the beach side wall being all glass, with a glassed in balcony. "Good price for 2 blocks from the beach. Comfy bed. It was nice to have plenty of counter space in the bathrooms, something that is sorely lacking in most rentals. The front patio is a great place to relax. The park next door is definitely a plus with dogs. Try the Il Farro Italian restaurant near the Newport pier, the Snipe Island Crafthouse on Balboa Island, and Siam Station for Thai food. "

"This was a super cute house that was perfect for our family's short visit. It was clean, and the pictures of the property were very accurate - definitely a cottage! Location was walkable to shops and the ferry. There was a thoughtful welcome note and amenity, which was a nice touch! There was a lot of construction on the island, so it was noisy... not the owner's fault. Bring a sound machine, because it's a busy island!"

"Cute apartment with a nice rooftop deck. Looks just like the pictures. Feels more like a cottage with the beamed ceilings in the living room. Comfy bed, fast wifi, pleasant kitchen and bathroom. Garage parking was great to have. Note that only smaller cars/suvs will fit. Excellent communication with the host. Will rent again! "

"Exactly as described and great location! We had a nice, quiet stay. Host had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower and blow dryer in the bathroom. There also were beach towels, a beach bag, and beach chairs available to use. The shower itself was quite small but think that is par for the course on the island in general. Would stay again!"
