Clean, comfortable, and had plenty of basics to lock in for a weekend escape. Short drive into town. Quiet and beautiful woods surrounding the property, for a lovely romantic weekend.

We wanted to book a getaway from the chaos of everyday life, and this was a perfect spot. We stayed in most of the weekend, cozying up by the fire and playing games! Plenty of wineries and a grocery store just minutes away from the house. The kitchen has the basics for cooking, limited on baking pans/tools. Has a coffee pot but not a kettle If you’re big tea people!When we arrived it seemed that the ice machine in the fridge had leaked slightly, but it was easy to clean up. There are some maintenance issues that I reached out to the host about, they were prompt and polite in their reply! One thing to note- this may be due to the change in seasons, but when we arrived the thermostat was set so low we had to wear our winter coats inside for the first half hour or so, but it warmed up quickly enough! The fireplaces are AMAZING, we had both going all weekend. The hot tub was well maintained and in working order. We appreciated all of the towels and extra beach towels! It ended up snowing while we were there, and the views were gorgeous. We did have to put towels down by the doors due to the snow and not having mats inside. With all of the windows, we loved the views!! So beautiful and we got to see both the fall foliage and the snow on the trees in the same weekend. Also, we saw so many deer and cardinals!! It was a much needed relaxing trip. The best part…we got engaged on this trip!! It was the perfect setting, and we loved every moment. Thank you for a great stay!

Stay was great. We loved having the trees around and having it feel like we were in nature. Hot tub was good for the cool evenings. Kitchen was more than adequate for the cooking we did.

Relaxing stay

We enjoyed our time at the house and exploring the area. My daughter, husband and I spent a couple nights in New Buffalo for an easy getaway from Chicago. The house was comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub after our daughter went to bed. We didn't cook much but it looked like there were enough supplies in the kitchen if we had. The spacious bedrooms are on either side of the house so it would probably be a nice place to stay with another couple or even another family if adults and kids bunk together. The outdoor space is very pretty and there's lots of seating in multiple areas. We left our jackets in the closet but found the VRBO support and local management to be very helpful, and they were mailed to us quickly.

Could use some small improvements

Comfy couch, but other livingroom chairs were uncomfortable. House was uncomfortably cold upon snowey arrival. Master bathroom had cold/low pressure shower. Guest room had amazing bathroom with jacuzzi. Outside was a nice view and hot tub was nice. Apliances were nice and new. Overall, it was a good stay. Could use minor improvements.

Awesome!

This vacation rental is awesome! It was our first time here. We cannot wait to go back. The house and property are amazing. Hottub wonderful. Kitchen well supplied with everything you could want. Beds were comfy. Bathrooms big and stocked with towels, soap, etc. I love the location. Just a mile or so from New Buffalo and 10 minutes from Michigan City. We will be back!

Awesome place!

This place was absolutely perfect! From the peaceful setting, to its location, to its amenities! They have thought of everything for you, your guests, and your dogs! The hot tub is perfect for the cool evenings and the fire pit is perfect for making s'mores! The deck is perfect for reading a book and drinking your coffee. Beds are comfortable, the space is well thought out, and there is even a great fenced in side yard for your furry friends safety. They have stuff for the beach including chairs, games, and towels. House also has puzzles and games for your entertainment purposes and a binder full of suggestions of things to do. Everything was wonderful and we will be back!
