Limited staff at the front desk. There was no one available to check me out on tha morning. The store keeper had to take my room key after she tried to reach someone including the security guard.

I enjoyed my time at Rum Runners. The property was clean and the staff was very nice. The beach is right across the street, so the location was perfect. Keep in mind there is a party on Sunday nights which gets pretty loud, but it's only for one night.

Check in was a joke. Absolutely unacceptable. There was no one at the desk. Someone was sleep in the gift shop but ahe had nothing to do with the property. She told me that there was a man in room 3 that told her if she needed anything to come knock on the door. It was pouring rain and i had to go over there because she wasnt going to! After being in the rain for 30 mins and no one from the property answering the phone. I walked around and found a house keeper. Luckily the taxi held on to my luggage and waited until i got to someone. The housekeeping let me in to my room finally. Room: The doors have locks that use a key fob. The key fob work after a few tries. When you close the door there is no lock on the backnside of the door sonyou dont know if it actually locked or not. There is a chain on the door but not exactly secure ot makes you feel safe at all. The room is big and clean which was the only good thing about my stay. The air worked good and the fridge size and microwave were a plus. The TV sucked and I could watch anything. I had my own ruku but had no WIFI code or even new if there was a code because there was no one to contact. I never got any information on who to contact if i needed anything and the number online had no answer and no call back from the voicemail. I didnt even know how to check out because once again no one was at the desk to check me out. The house keeper pulled up for her shift after waiting like 10 minutes luckily. I gave her the key

The rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was very good as well. Our only complaint was the pool was not clean, and did not look safe to swim in.

Staff were very nice. Room is not soundproof at all could hear our neighbour's TV clearly and snoring! Issue with their water pressure and we fixed the chain in the toilet tank ourselves. Bad WIFI and bad TV connection. Sexy Sunday was ridiculous with pounding loud music and yelling until 4 am and when we commented were told that's how they like it so don't stay there. Issues with roof leaking when it rained. They are trying but it's a motel level experience and they still need to do more work. Could offer more in the breakfast offerings. Think we got food poisoning from the food at Tabernac on our last night and meal prices are high. No idea why the resorts in Negril all blast their music because we heard many comment. We heard Maxi Priest 2 km away perfectly from our room until 3 am.

The room was clean & great staff. I did not have AC for the last 3 days but a screen and fan were installed so I found it comfortable enough. The Sunday night party was difficult for sleep as it was loud until 4:30 am.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and I'm glad to say that it was just as good if not better than the last. Upon arrival the electricity was out but that is of no control of the hotel staff/management. Wyatt (I hope I have his name correct) from the front desk along with the security guy Omar were very helpful with getting me to my room and making sure I was situated because the sun was starting to set. During this stay,I was able to have breakfast and lunch at the restaurant which were both great. The staff in the restaurant and at the bar were wonderful as well. Anytime I have a short stay in Negril, I will continue to book this hotel.

The staff was great. The rooms were still under renovation after check in. There was no hot water for the first six day. Cold shower. No tv. No chair on the room to sit on. Need a refund.

The room itself was not up to standard dirty floors, and a musty smell that didn’t go away. Noise was another major issue, a loud sound system was playing for the entire night. I won’t be staying here again and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Rum Runners? Run away from this resort

From the parties every Sunday going on until “3am or 4am” in the morning, to the so-called chef who wasn’t set up for breakfast, nor had on uniform, this place is a complete shamble of a hotel. A resort? Think again. We were told about an event going on until the morning at check-on on a Sunday evening, which we couldn’t do anything about. The music is so loud you don’t have to be physically present to hear it. Better still, they didn’t bother to clean up the next morning, nor was any breakfast area set up. The chef didn’t even have any of the basics e.g milk on this occassion to make us coffee. Cigarette butts and bottle lids from the night before were in and around the pool, which was also dirty. Going back to our room, the shower handle and tap were both broken. The front door to the room malfunctioned once we had left the room and tried to go back in. The toilet didn’t flush and all under an umbrella of a so-called Resort. We complained to the front desk receptionist at the time and said we would be checking out and asked about a refund. They said we “should” get a refund. After multiple attempts, the resort would not provide a refund for the booking via Hotels.com. Rum Runners Resort said we had provided a 10/10 review on their website and had stayed 6 nights. We actually did not leave any review, but rather a complaint. Seems a fraudulent attempt to cover their backs from any dispute. 2 weeks later we have a refund via Hotels - still no response from Rum Runners.
