FULL DISCLOSURE: My family visited during Christmas ‘22 with nightly temperatures in the single digits. Thankfully, we were not part of the rolling blackouts, but it did color our experience.
The good: view was great, central location and everything we wanted to do (with the exception of light display in Hendersonville) was under ten miles away. Accurate listing with nice kitchen space, and garage (though be warned it’s a tight fit for anything bigger than a midsized sedan.) Good, prompt communication with attentive property managers, who issued a partial refund (see * below).
The not-so-good: As we started eating there and using dishes, we found blonde hair on them and the silverware, some of which were dirty and had been put back. A pan had not been cleaned before storage, and there was residue at the bottom of the oven that set off the smoke alarms every time we used it. Note: The kid bedroom (the one with the bunk beds) does not have a TV.
*The night we arrived, it was 6 degrees and the heat would not work on all levels. After contacting the management company, they sent a repairman over the next morning and it worked…except for the bottom floor. While they did refund part of my stay, if you intend to stay here during a cold winter month, I’d suggest asking about this issue first or bringing a space heater or electric blanket, which is what we ended up buying..
